Un ricordo che mi fa sempre sorridere/A memory that always makes me smile. 💕

Buongiorno amici di blog eccomi qui nella community italiana finalmente per unirmi al contest di questa settimana, il tema è un ricordo che ci fa sorridere, io avevo molta scelta, alcuni ricordi però li ho dovuti scartare perché sono ricordi dolci amari con persone che purtroppo non ci sono più, quindi ho deciso di optare per uno di quei ricordi che mi fa' solo stare bene senza evocare in me sentimenti tristi.
La prima vacanza con mio marito all' epoca a malapena era il mio ragazzo ormai otto anni fa e venti chili fa ahahah. Era poco che stavamo assieme, la nostra prima estate e lui mi disse che aveva sua cognata in Croazia, per precisione a Parenzo così abbiamo deciso di andare a trovarla, io non ero mai stata in Croazia ed ero davvero entusiasta, abbiamo deciso di andare in macchina, ed è stato il nostro primo viaggio lungo assieme, gia in autostrada ci siamo divertiti facendo varie fernate perlopiù mangerecce. Per dormire avevamo prenotato un luogo vicino a mia cognata da una signora croata. Arrivati alla dogana poco dopo abbiamo cambiato i soldi, non erano ancora entrati nell' euro ( bei tempi, costava tutto davvero poco ora è carissima!!) e subito abbiamo mangiato a una Konoba una sorta di taverna per poi andare al nostro alloggio, dove la gentilissima signora che ci ospitava in uno dei suoi appartamenti ci ha fatto trovare un dolce pronto e dei salami locali, una cosa davvero carinissima, una vera gentilezza.

Hello blogging friends, I'm finally here in the Italian community to join this week's contest. The theme is a memory that makes us smile. I had a lot to choose from, but I had to discard some memories because they're bittersweet with people who are sadly no longer with us. So I decided to opt for one of those memories that simply makes me feel good without evoking sad feelings. My first vacation with my husband, who was barely my boyfriend at the time, was eight years ago and 20 pounds ago, hahaha. We hadn't been together long, it was our first summer, and he told me his sister-in-law was in Croatia, specifically in Poreč, so we decided to visit her. I'd never been to Croatia before and I was really excited. We decided to go by car, and it was our first long trip together. We had fun on the highway, taking several stops, mostly food-related. For the night, we had booked a place near my sister-in-law's with a Croatian woman. We arrived at customs shortly after and changed our money. They hadn't yet changed to the euro (good old days, everything was really cheap, now it's very expensive!!). We immediately ate at a Konoba, a sort of tavern, and then went to our accommodation, where the very kind lady who was hosting us in one of her apartments had a ready-made dessert and some local salami ready for us, which was really nice, a real kindness.

È uno dei ricordi più piacevoli perché oltre ad essere la mia prima vacanza in Croazia dove sono tornata anche in seguito anche se lo scorso anno sono davvero rimasta basita dagli aumenti, ma anche perché è stata la prima volta che io e mio marito abbiamo passato così tanto tempo assieme in un paese straniero e dopo questa vacanza ha portato all' inizio di una convivenza. Comunque è stata una delle vacanze più piacevoli che ho fatto e che mi dà più bei ricordi, noi due fuori a mangiare cibo tradizionale tutte le sere, a passeggiare romanticamente per le vie di Parenzo ( e quanto è bella e romantica la Croazia la sera), a osservare i tramonti in quelle spiagge bellissime ( e in Croazia ce ne sono tante), la prima volta a vedere gli angoli magnifici di Rovigno, le prime spese fatte al supermercato Konzum comprando tantissimi prodotti tipici e i tanti bei momenti, rilassati, felici, calmi. Mi manca molto quel tipo di vacanza e stato di animo le ultime vacanze almeno per me sono state più uno stress che un relax, ecco quelle settimane li sono ricordati che mi fanno sempre sorridere e stare bene.

Poi ovviamente c'è tanti altri ricordi di cui potrei parlare, ma io viale dei ricordi può essere un luogo anche molto malinconico, comunque mi auguro solo che passato i periodi buoi possa creare du nuovo dei bei ricordi anche se certo la prina vacanza da fidanzati non si può replicare ma si può sempre migliorare no??

It's one of my fondest memories because, besides being my first vacation in Croatia, where I've returned since, even though I was truly shocked by the price increases last year, it was also the first time my husband and I spent so much time together in a foreign country, and after that vacation, it led to the beginning of living together. In any case, it was one of the most enjoyable vacations I've ever had and it gives me the fondest memories: the two of us out eating traditional food every evening, romantic strolls through the streets of Poreč (and how beautiful and romantic Croatia is in the evenings), watching sunsets on those gorgeous beaches (and there are so many in Croatia), the first time seeing the magnificent corners of Rovinj, the first shopping at the Konzum supermarket, buying so many typical products, and the many wonderful moments, relaxed, happy, and calm. I really miss that kind of vacation and state of mind; the last few vacations, at least for me, were more stressful than relaxing. Those weeks are what I remember, and they always make me smile and feel good.

Then obviously there are many other memories I could talk about, but Memory Lane can also be a very melancholic place, however I only hope that once the dark times are over I can create some new beautiful memories even if of course the first holiday as a couple cannot be replicated but you can always improve, right??
