Just take a look at the chart: after hovering around the $1,800 mark for weeks, Ethereum exploded upwards on May 3rd, surging over 35% and now consolidating comfortably above $2,500. This isn’t just a little bounce – it’s a significant breakout, and it’s shaking up expectations.

The move came in tandem with Bitcoin’s rally, reaffirming the close coupling between the two giants. But it’s not just market sentiment driving this: recent changes to the Ethereum protocol, especially in terms of fee structure and improved scalability, seem to be reinforcing investor confidence. The effects of these upgrades are beginning to show – not just in price, but also in network usage and activity.
