Hello everyone, how are you? I hope you are doing well. While writing this, I am sending prayers and Al-Fatihah to my parents. Both of my parents have passed away. My mother passed away in 2023. It feels like no one supports me after my mother passed away. It feels like I am only fulfilling my financial obligations.

This is the second year since she passed away. I imagine, if my mother was still around. I want to go on vacation to Yogyakarta. One thing my mother wants is a vacation to Yogyakarta. She wants to come to Malioboro and enjoy some of the tours there. At the same time try gudeg, a typical Yogyakarta food.

We once planned to go to Yogyakarta, only I had a little objection because I had to cover the costs of travel, food and hotels. That was what burdened me. A long time ago, to treat the vacation, I took my mother to eat at a pizza restaurant. Finally, thinking about vacationing disappeared.

If my mother was still around and we went on vacation to Yogyakarta together, I would take my mother to see Prambanan temple, eat sate klatak and visit the fort in Yogyakarta. As I have done every time I go to Yogyakarta. Of course, I will take this trip with my younger sister. My mother, is never separated from my younger sister.

Oh yes, in Yogyakarta there is also a delicious steak, I forgot the name of the restaurant, but I will take my mother there. Incidentally, my mother has never eaten steak. Usually, during New Year or Eid al-Adha we always grill satay or beef at home with simple spices and equipment.

Some Japanese foods such as beef teriyaki, pizza and other foods have been tried by my mother. Only steak has not been tried by my mother. I also want to buy a bag for my mother to go to study the Koran. A fairly large bag, one that fits the Koran. In Yogyakarta too, I want to take my mother to a traditional market, maybe Ngasem market.

Just to look for batik clothes. Or a dress to go to study the Koran. Maybe three or four days is enough for a vacation. One thing, since getting married, my mother rarely goes out of town. More often, she stays at home with my younger sister. While writing this story, it feels like my tears won't stop. I really miss my mother.

I believe that missing our mothers is a common feeling for all of us who no longer have them physically among us. Remembering the love they gave us and their teachings is the best consolation.
A hug

I understand your loss and the pain in writing about your mother's story, it is impossible not to miss the one who gave you her unconditional love, surely God hears about your prayers, a hug;

It has been almost nine months ago when I lost my Mother. It is still painful yet I hold tight the good memories of her presence in my heart. Missing our mother is something we all share.
Thank you for sharing @nnurdiani
