Perhaps the True Meaning of Life is: Giving and Receiving Hope.
Hello everyone, I’m Nishan Ahmed.
After a long time, I’ve returned to this beloved community once again.
This place feels like home — a space where I can share my thoughts and express the truth that lives inside me.
And so, I sit down to write again.
This week’s prompt made me pause for a moment:
The essence of life, the search for purpose, and the hustle that never ends.

I’ve asked myself this question many times.
Today, I want to share my reflections with all of you.
If we’re all going to die anyway — what’s the point of all this struggle?
Each morning, I wake up thinking,
“Another day, the same routine, the same exhaustion.”
My eyes still hold sleep, my mind is full of worry —
But still, I get up.
I move.
I fight.
Every day it’s study, work, responsibilities, endless running.
Sometimes, even a simple cup of tea feels like a luxury.
Most days, I ask myself:
“Who am I doing all this for? Just for money? For validation?”
And yet, the next morning, I get up again.
I smile through it all.
I don’t let anyone see that I’m falling apart inside.

Still, I keep going — for reasons that may seem small from the outside,
but carry the weight of everything I believe in.
Because my mother calls every day to check in.
Because I have friends who still stand by me.
Because bringing a smile to someone’s face, offering a bit of courage —
that has become my greatest reward.
These little moments of love keep me alive.
The purpose of life?
Maybe it’s not some grand idea.
Maybe it’s not something we discover once, but keep rediscovering.
I may not fully understand my life’s purpose yet,
but I’ve come to believe:
Gratitude to Allah.
Love for people.
Standing by others.
Giving strength, even through my own pain.
Maybe this is the true meaning of life.
I came back to this community not just to write,
but to share what lives within me — to explore life from a different lens.
If my words bring even a little peace or hope to someone,
then perhaps, this post has found its own purpose too.
Final thoughts
Each of our lives is filled with unanswered questions and silent breakdowns.
Still, we live.
Because somehow, somewhere, we are someone’s light of hope.
And perhaps, that hope —
is the greatest purpose of all.
Hope you liked it.

Hello @nishanahamed I liked it best when you said Maybe the true meaning of life is: to give someone a ray of hope, and to receive that light within yourself.

To save Hive power, maybe we can continue the conversation on Discord?
I really love this most especially where you said life is a check in , honestly that's the proper word because everyday we check in to a new beginning to see what that day brings.
I love that you have backup to your journey, your tittle says alot and I have learnt that another aspect of life is in giving and receiving. Nice write-up
