Vase and tulips.

Jarrón y tulipanes.

Hello friends, this will be my entry for Sketch Quest by @quatro. I drew a small line drawing of a vase with tulips and added a bit of color and some shadows. It’s a simple drawing, but I like this style; in fact, I do it a lot in traditional media in my more creative sketchbook. I think the important thing is to preserve the essence of the object and what it conveys with as few lines as possible. I hope you like it.

Hola amigos, esta será mi participación para Sketch Quest de @quatro. Dibujé un pequeño dibujo a líneas de un jarrón con tulipanes y le agregué un poco de color y algunas sombras. Es un dibujo simple, pero me gusta este estilo; de hecho, en tradicional lo hago mucho en mi sketchbook más creativo. Creo que lo importante es conservar la esencia del objeto y lo que transmite en la menor cantidad de líneas posibles. Espero que les guste.

I believe tulips are among those flowers that possess a unique charm and captivate greatly with their beauty. They are very beautiful and symmetrical flowers, so drawing them feels like being in harmony. Something curious about tulips is that they represent idealized and perfect love, especially because of that characteristic of renewal during spring days. Bicolored tulips are also very beautiful. Sometimes simply drawing something for its own contemplation brings joys, and that is what I felt with this drawing: a smile of beauty and a glance at the common and everyday, without telling a story or paying homage, simply enjoying the beauty.

Creo que los tulipanes son de esas flores que tienen un encanto único y cautivan mucho con su belleza. Son flores muy bonitas y simétricas, así que dibujarlos es sentirse en armonía. Algo curioso sobre los tulipanes es que representan el amor idealizado y perfecto, sobre todo por esa característica de renovación en los días de primavera. Los tulipanes bicolores también son muy bonitos. A veces simplemente dibujar algo por su propia contemplación genera alegrías, y esto fue lo que sentí con este dibujo: una sonrisa de belleza y una mirada a lo común y cotidiano, sin contar una historia o rendir homenaje, simplemente disfrutar de la belleza.
