Hello! Today I bring you a new tutorial, and this time it will be about how to draw a small little bee. I also want this drawing to be part of the “LET US DRAW BUGS” challenge proposed by @artofkylin, where we will be drawing 28 insects. In my case, I’ll be making separate blog posts in the different drawing communities I participate in, showing various bug drawings and different compositions. Before the deadline, I’ll publish a post gathering all 28 insects, which will be my official entry. I hope I can achieve it, this month promises to be full of insects, but we already have the first one, and it comes in the form of a tutorial.

Hola, hoy les traigo un nuevo tutorial, y esta vez será sobre cómo dibujar una pequeña abejita. Además, quiero que este dibujo forme parte del reto de dibujar bichos que propuso @artofkylin, LET US DRAW BUGS, donde estaremos dibujando 28 insectos. En mi caso, haré blogs separados en distintas comunidades de dibujo en las que participo, mostrando distintos dibujos de bichos y distintas composiciones. Y antes de la fecha límite, haré una publicación con los 28 insectos reunidos, que será mi participación. Espero lograrlo, y este mes promete ser un mes lleno de insectos, pero ya tenemos el primero y viene en forma de tutorial.

I’ll start, as usual, by sharing with you my tutorial sheet with the step‑by‑step sketch. It’s very easy to follow, no matter what level you have.

Comenzaré, como es costumbre, compartiéndoles mi hoja tutorial con el paso a paso del boceto. Muy fácil de seguir sin importar el nivel que tengas.

Step by step:

1. We start by drawing a square and rounding its corners.
2. A triangle on one end of our square will be the stinger.
3. All bees have little stripes, so we draw them inside the square.
4. Very simple antennae and little legs; I like to draw the legs in pairs.
5. Wings so it can fly and pollinate.
6. And its happy little face, and that’s it!

> Paso a paso:

1. Comenzamos haciendo un cuadrado al que redondearemos las esquinas.
2. Un triángulo en uno de los extremos de nuestro cuadrado será el aguijón.
3. Todas las abejas tienen rayitas, las dibujamos dentro del cuadrado.
4. Antenas y patitas muy simples, me gusta hacer las patitas en pares.
5. Las alas para que vuele y pueda polinizar.
6. Y su carita feliz, ¡y listo!

Now that our sketch is ready, we know what comes next: creating the line art. So pick your favorite brush, steady your hand, and start tracing. If you’re working traditionally, remember to keep your sketch very light so it’s easier to erase later.

Ya tenemos nuestro boceto listo, y ya sabemos qué viene a continuación: crear el line art. Así que escoge tu pincel de confianza, afina el pulso y comienza a trazar. Recuerda que, si estás trabajando en tradicional, hagas el boceto bien suave para que sea más fácil borrarlo.

With our line art ready, it’s simply time to start coloring. This drawing will be very yellow, and since I’ll make the sky blue, the wings will be light blue to achieve a bit of transparency. I’ll also add lights and shadows to create volume.

Con nuestro line art listo, simplemente es hora de colorear. Este dibujo será muy amarillo; además, como haré el cielo azul, las alas serán de azul claro para lograr un poco de transparencia. También agregaré luces y sombras para crear volúmenes.
