Observa Piensa Escribe: Un Cumpleaños Perfecto ESP/ENG

Saludos, amigos de la comunidad #Topfivefamily. Hoy quiero participar de su concurso Observa Piensa y Escribe, ya que su foto me inspiró a crear una historia.

Era miércoles 16 de julio, un día aparentemente común y corriente, pero no para María, quien estaba de cumpleaños y quería pasarla diferente ya que extrañaba mucho su tierra natal Venezuela.

María era una linda chica de cabello rojizo que se mudó a la Riviera Francesa, y donde cada amanecer resultaba especial para ella ya que el sol se colaba por las persianas de la habitación en su pequeño y acogedor apartamento de Niza.

Esta mujer era joven y estaba cumpliendo sus 30 años y a pesar de que no veía desde hace años a su familia, intentaba disimular con una sonrisa, pero en su corazón sabía que la nostalgia de su vida en su país natal la abrumaba de vez en cuando, sobre todo en fechas tan importantes como esta.

Extrañaba a sus padres, pero a quién más añoraba ver era a su nana (su abuela), quien le preparaba deliciosos desayunos en estas fechas. Y a pesar de que vivía en uno de los lugares más hermosos del planeta, su corazón seguía en Venezuela.

Ese día, María se levanta de la cama y se acerca a la ventana recordando su vieja vida, donde compartía con su familia casi a diario. Suspiró perdida en sus recuerdos para luego darse media vuelta y arreglarse para ir a trabajar.

Llega a su trabajo, empieza su jornada como siempre mientras que uno que otro compañero de ella la felicita por su día y le pregunta si tiene algún plan, a lo que ella sólo contesta con la mirada algo triste, moviendo su cabeza de lado a lado.

Llega la tarde y algunos de sus compañeros de trabajo la invitan a tomarse un café y charlar un poco. Ella accede y pasa un rato agradable con ellos, el mesero se acerca a la pequeña mesa donde se reunieron con un trozo de pastel de chocolate.

Al verlo María se sonroja y sus amigos empiezan a cantarle cumpleaños en francés. Ella sonríe y tiene emociones encontradas porque por más que no quiera, su familia está presente en su mente, pero lejos de ella.

Cuando termina la reunión María se dirige a su casa, con muchas ganas de llorar porque le pesa la soledad de estar en un país extraño sin personas que conozca como o hacía en Venezuela. No ve la hora de abrir la puerta para correr a su cuarto a llorar a todo pulmón hasta dormir.

Abrió la puerta de manera apresurada y de repente escucha gritos en grupo que dicen ¡SORPRESA! Y un montón de globos con serpentinas y papelillos le caen repentinamente y al darse cuenta, toda su familia está en su casa.

Si aquella familia que dejó en Venezuela, su abuelita, sus padres y su mejor amiga, todos la sorprendieron con una mesa repleta de tequeños, empanadas, cachapas y no podía faltar la torta, la gelatina y el quesillo.

Todo estaba decorado muy sencillo, María no podía creerlo, este era para ella su mejor cumpleaños de toda su vida, no por los regalos, no por los detalles sino por estar con sus seres amados después de tantos años sin verlos.

Esta fue mi entrada al concurso, una historia de inspiración propia que llegó por la imagen elegida en esta ocasión, espero que les haya gustado. Saludos a todos!

Greetings, friends of the #Topfivefamily community. Today, I want to participate in your Observe, Think, and Write contest, as your photo inspired me to create a story.

It was Wednesday, July 16, a seemingly ordinary day, but not for María, who was celebrating her birthday and wanted to do something different because she missed her homeland, Venezuela, so much.

María was a pretty girl with reddish hair who had moved to the French Riviera, where every sunrise was special for her as the sun filtered through the blinds of her small, cozy apartment in Nice.

This woman was young and turning 30, and even though she hadn't seen her family in years, she tried to hide it with a smile, but in her heart, she knew that nostalgia for her life in her native country overwhelmed her from time to time, especially on important dates like this one.

She missed her parents, but the person she longed to see most was her nana (her grandmother), who used to make her delicious breakfasts on these dates. And even though she lived in one of the most beautiful places on the planet, her heart was still in Venezuela.

That day, Maria got out of bed and went to the window, remembering her old life, where she spent time with her family almost every day. She sighed, lost in her memories, then turned around and got ready for work.

She arrives at work and begins her day as usual, while one or two of her colleagues congratulate her on her special day and ask her if she has any plans, to which she only responds with a somewhat sad look, shaking her head from side to side.

The afternoon arrive,s and some of her coworkers invited her to have coffee and chat a bit. She agrees and has a pleasant time with them. The waiter approaches the small table where they are sitting with a piece of chocolate cake.

When Maria sees it, she blushes, and her friends begin to sing “Happy Birthday” to her in French. She smiles and has mixed emotions because, as much as she doesn't want to, her family is present in her mind, but far away from her.

When the gathering ends, María heads home, feeling like crying because she is weighed down by the loneliness of being in a strange country without people she knows, unlike in Venezuela. She can't wait to open the door and run to her room to cry her heart out until she falls asleep.

She opens the door hastily and suddenly hears a group shouting, "SURPRISE! A bunch of balloons with streamers and confetti suddenly fall on her, and when she realizes what is happening, she sees that her whole family is at her house.

The family she left behind in Venezuela—her grandmother, her parents, and her best friend—all surprised her with a table full of tequeños, empanadas, cachapas, and, of course, cake, gelatin, and quesillo.

Everything was decorated very simply. Maria couldn't believe it. This was the best birthday of her life, not because of the gifts or the details, but because she was with her loved ones after so many years without seeing them.
