Eating pepitonas and drinking beers

Pepitonas are a type of mollusk found on the Venezuelan coasts and can be eaten boiled with plenty of lemon, they can also be stewed and even made into vinaigrettes, like ceviche. They are really delicious and accompanied by a cold beer they are better.

Since there was no Polar Negra, which is my favorite, we ordered Polar Light. As I have already told you on previous occasions, Polar Light is the beer most consumed by Venezuelans. I don’t know if it’s because of its low calorie content, because it’s not very bitter, or because of its 4° alcohol, but it is the most popular among Venezuelans. Although this beer is priced at 0.70 in liquor stores, at the fair it was $1.

We ordered a can of pepitonas, which cost us $10, and since they had to be boiled, we ordered other rounds of beers. We must admit that this beer is refreshing and light; since it has a mild flavor, it drinks easily.

La Polar Light is made with ingredients such as water, malted barley, cereals, hops, and stabilizers. It has a light yellow color and moderate foam. If you like full-bodied and bitter beers, you won't like this beer; but if you just want to refresh yourself, hang out without the beers having much effect, this is the perfect beer as a companion.

In the end, they brought the can of pepitonas and we accompanied it with beer and lemon. We appreciated the moment, the food, the drink, and of course, the company.
