Justice for the Fallen Villagers - Ghost of Tsushima.

The contest themes of @gamingphoto helps us seeing things in a video game that we normally ignore.

I diverted from my main quest to avenge several pairs of peasants executed by Mongols. Using rooftop assassinations and swift swordplay, I neutralized the guards one by one. After testing my black powder and looting the area, I visited the nearby graveyard to pay my final respects to the victims.

Gaming Photography Weekly Contest - Theme: Cinematic Shots.

I was really going for a main quest this time, but I stopped after seeing this brutal incident. Around three pairs of peasants were hanged and killed beside their village, their bodies left as a grim warning. The sight was too much to ignore, and I knew I had to act.

I could not help but fight those Mongols who did this, even though I had initially decided to leave this place behind.

I started surveying the area and noticed there were around four or five Mongols guarding this location. They were the ones who killed those innocent people brutally.

After checking on the movements of some of the Mongols, I decided to assassinate one of them. I took the action when I was right above him, leaping from the roof with my blade ready to strike before he could even look up.

Jin stabbed my target with his sword and assassinated him at once. There was another one close by who noticed the kill and was running towards me, shouting an alarm to the rest of the camp as he drew his blade.

I did not give that man a chance to attack me; I put my sword directly inside his chest right when he came close. Another Mongol was not so far away, witnessing the cold efficiency of the Ghost as his comrade fell to the ground.

The other one was not spared even when my third kill came to me. I tried the same way to take him down that I did with my previous kill, parrying his strike and countering with a lethal blow. At last, the one carrying the big shield started running towards me.

I knew it was not so hard to take him down, but I gave him some chances to fight me first. He could not implement his stance perfectly against my techniques and died at my hands brutally, his shield falling uselessly into the dirt.

Then I tried my new black powder there, as I noticed there was one I could loot from a nearby crate. I explored around the place for any supplies, picking up iron and linen that the Mongols had hoarded from the villagers' homes.

Leaving the killers behind, I ran to the open graveyard where the path started, to convey my honor to the fallen, promising that their deaths would not go unavenged.

Yeah, the graphics still manage to surprise me. Those moments felt too good not to capture.
