Hola amigas de la comunidad de Ladies Of Hive, un abrazo grande para todas y deseándoles que estén pasando una buena semana cargada de cosas maravillosas 💖. Mirando mi vida en retrospectiva puedo llegar a ver todo lo que afortunadamente y gracias a la voluntad de Dios he podido sobrepasar y también aprender durante el proceso, siento que soy una persona que tiene los pies puestos sobre la tierra y considero que eso me ha ayudado a saber que actitud debo tomar ante los desafíos de la vida y las sorpresas que también vienen con esta. Hoy me gustaría contestar las dos preguntas que propone @trucklife-family y que nos invita a reflexionar sobre la vida y nuestros valores. Antes de comenzar quisiera invitar a mi amiga @erigm para que participe en el concurso #251 ☺️.
Hello friends of the Ladies Of Hive community, a big hug to all of you and wishing you a great week full of wonderful things 💖. Looking at my life in retrospect I can get to see everything that fortunately and thanks to God's will I have been able to overcome and also learn during the process, I feel that I am a person who has my feet on the ground and I consider that this has helped me to know what attitude I should take before the challenges of life and the surprises that also come with this one. Today I would like to answer the two questions proposed by @trucklife-family that invites us to reflect on life and our values. Before I begin, I would like to invite my friend @erigm to participate in the #251 contest ☺️.
¿Cuáles son los tres valores principales que guían sus decisiones vitales más importantes y qué valor le resulta más difícil practicar de forma coherente?
What are the top three values that guide your major life decisions and which value do you find the most challenging to practice consistently?
He sido criada desde el amor de mi mamá y de su propia experiencia de vida, junto con mi abuela que también se encargo de que crecieramos mis hermanos y yo con valores y con una buena forma de ver la vida. Uno de los valores principales que me define es la honestidad, siempre he dicho la verdad incluso en momentos dónde no me convenía tanto decirla, no es que nunca haya dicho mentiras pero si siento que es un valor sumamente importante en los seres humanos y que muy pocos tienen presente hoy en día. El valor del respeto lo aprendí de mi mamá, ella siempre nos inculcó que debíamos respetar a todos los seres humanos incluyendo a los animales, no veo a nadie como superior o inferior, simplemente como personas y eso conlleva a ver también sus acciones y formas de expresarse, por lo que siempre doy respeto aunque no siempre reciba lo mismo porque es lo que me gustaría recibir de otros y es algo que me parece muy fundamental que se haga presente este valor dentro de las nuevas generaciones. Por último pero no menos importante, el valor de cuidar lo que me rodea, si empezamos a querer lo que tenemos y no lo que nos hace falta o lo que creemos que necesitamos, muchas cosas cambian en nuestra vida de manera positiva. Hoy cuido mi cuerpo y la manera en la que me hablo, porque es el que me permite vivir y hacer las cosas que me gustan, es el que me ha sostenido en momentos difíciles y es el único que tengo y que Dios me dió con algún propósito y deseo poder seguir cuidando de mi tanto como lo hago con los seres que amo. En cuanto al valor que me cuesta más mantener sería el perdón, aunque es de humanos sentir rabia o incluso resentimiento, entiendo que es algo que no deseo que llene mi vida por completo, muchas veces me cuesta poder perdonar a los demás y se que es algo que es necesario trabajar para poder sentirme bien y tener bienestar mental.
I have been raised from the love of my mother and her own life experience, along with my grandmother who also made sure that my siblings and I grew up with values and a good way of seeing life. One of the main values that defines me is honesty, I have always told the truth even at times when it was not convenient for me to say it, not that I have never told lies but I feel that it is an extremely important value in human beings and that very few have in mind today. I learned the value of respect from my mother, she always instilled in us that we should respect all human beings including animals, I do not see anyone as superior or inferior, simply as people and that also leads to see their actions and ways of expressing themselves, so I always give respect even if I do not always receive the same because it is what I would like to receive from others and it is something that I think is very important to make this value present within the new generations. Last but not least, the value of taking care of what surrounds me, if we start to love what we have and not what we lack or what we think we need, many things change in our lives in a positive way. Today I take care of my body and the way I talk to myself, because it is the one that allows me to live and do the things I like, it is the one that has sustained me in difficult times and it is the only one I have and that God gave me with some purpose and I wish I could continue taking care of me as much as I do with the people I love. As for the value that is more difficult for me to maintain would be forgiveness, although it is human to feel anger or even resentment, I understand that it is something that I do not want to fill my life completely, many times it is difficult for me to forgive others and I know that it is something that is necessary to work on in order to feel good and have mental wellbeing.
Mirando hacia atrás en tu vida, ¿cuáles son los momentos de los que te sientes más orgulloso, en los que te mantuviste fiel a tus creencias fundamentales?
Looking back over your life, what are the moments that you are proudest of, where you stayed true to your core beliefs?
Estuve en situaciones donde fui juzgada por mi forma de ser: muy tranquila o demasiado buena. Y aunque esto no suena como algo malo, es algo que me trajo problemas para enfrentar las diferencias con otras personas, siento que todos buscan de alguna manera imponer lo que piensan y cuando ven a una persona diferente o que no sigue los cánones de la sociedad, entonces se puede ser víctima de conflictos innecesarios. Recuerdo que muchas veces sentí que mi apariencia era la de una persona nada atractiva, solo porque otros así lo pensaban y me lo hacían saber, esto me llevo a querer tener una imagen física idealizada o que encajara en el molde de lo que otros deseaban. Pero al final luego de muchos tropiezos entendí que no le vamos a gustar a todos y que es necesario mantenernos firmes en nuestras convicciones y valores, siempre llegarán personas que si sepan valorar quien eres y no lo que deberías ser para agradarle a otros.
I have been in situations where I was judged for my way of being: too quiet or too nice. And although this does not sound like a bad thing, it is something that brought me problems to face the differences with other people, I feel that everyone seeks somehow to impose what they think and when they see a person who is different or does not follow the canons of society, then you can be a victim of unnecessary conflicts. I remember that many times I felt that my appearance was that of an unattractive person, just because others thought so and let me know it, this led me to want to have an idealized physical image or to fit the mold of what others wanted. But in the end after many stumbles I understood that not everyone is going to like us and that it is necessary to stand firm in our convictions and values, there will always come people who know how to value who you are and not what you should be to please others.

Honesty and Respect, such a good value that we can learn from our oldest. Seriously, everything start at home so if our family showed us how to respectful and honest, we can also adapt that. The truth is, I can be respectful but, being honest? I'm not sure about this. And forgiving someone? Of course that's hard, on this one I can easily forgive, its for myself, for my peace of mind. But it is also understandable if some can't forgive. Y'all have the right to feel that. ✨

I felt that in my bones especially the part about growing up loved, grounded, and intentional. Honesty, respect and caring for what surrounds us, that’s like the quiet foundation that holds everything steady, no matter what storms come. And being honest that forgiveness sometimes trips us up, that is honest and brave. Your journey of feeling judged but still standing firm in who you are, that image sticks with me. Knowing that others may not fit us but there will be those who value our true selves, that is the kind of comfort and strength we all need to hear.
