At Music Zone we want to encourage genuine talent through participation with a musical instrument. When performing a song on an instrument, the musician has the opportunity to demonstrate their level of technical mastery, expressiveness and dedication in their performance. We want each participant to develop authentic musical skills and cultivate the art of performance. The voice is a wonderful musical instrument, but when accompanied by an instrument, the performer exhibits coordination, rhythm, pitch and dynamics. The interaction between the singer and their instrument adds a layer of complexity that is appreciated by the judges of our music competitions. We have had the opportunity to observe artists with little instrumental experience, but who over time have managed to improve and excel. In our musical community we recognise and value effort. A musical instrument enriches the experience and the energy of the audience because the effort and skill is perceived in real time.

En Music Zone queremos fomentar el talento genuino a través de la participación con un instrumento musical. Cuando se interpreta una canción con un instrumento, el músico tiene la oportunidad de demostrar su nivel de dominio técnico, expresividad y dedicación en su interpretación. Queremos que cada participante desarrolle habilidades musicales auténticas y cultive el arte de la interpretación. La voz es un instrumento musical maravilloso, pero cuando se acompaña con un instrumento, el intérprete expone coordinación, ritmo, afinación y dinamismo. La interacción entre el cantante y su instrumento añade una capa de complejidad que es apreciada por los jueces de nuestros concursos musicales. Hemos tenido la oportunidad de observar artistas con poca experiencia instrumental, pero que con el tiempo han logrado mejorar y superarse. En nuestra comunidad musical reconocemos y valoramos el esfuerzo. Karaoke is a popular activity that aims to entertain and amuse. It is a Japanese word meaning singing with an orchestral track. In some cases the quality of the track is poor, and gives an unprofessional and serious image to the contest. We do not accept entries with karaoke tracks. When someone plays a musical instrument it sets a more equitable and fairer stage. Imagine for a moment that one person wins the contest with a karaoke track, and the one who made an effort to play a musical instrument does not win. That could cause disappointment and convey that an injustice has been done. Both the Hive Music Festival and the Song Challenge promote musical growth and development. Our goal is to encourage musicians to explore and master their instruments. If you don't have a musical instrument, you can ask a friend to join you. Working collaboratively makes the performance more appreciated by the judges. If you only play a musical instrument and don't sing, the track should be a complement, not the protagonist.

El karaoke es una actividad popular que tiene como objetivo entretener y divertirse. Es una palabra que proviene del japonés que significa cantar con una pista orquestal. En algunos casos la calidad de la pista es deficiente, y le da una imagen poco profesional y seria al concurso. No aceptamos entradas con pistas de karaoke. Cuando alguien toca un instrumento musical establece un escenario más equitativo y justo. Imaginen por un momento que una persona gane el concurso con una pista de karaoke, y no gane aquel que hizo un esfuerzo por tocar un instrumento musical. Eso puede causar desilusión y transmitir que se ha cometido una injusticia. Tanto el Hive Music Festival como el Song Challenge promueven el crecimiento y el desarrollo musical. Nuestro objetivo es incentivar a los músicos a explorar y dominar sus instrumentos. Si no tienes un instrumento musical, puedes pedirle a un amigo que te acompañe. El trabajo colaborativo hace que la presentación sea más apreciada por los jueces. Si solo tocas un instrumento musical y no cantas, la pista debe ser un complemento, no el protagonista.

Recommendations when performing with a Musical Instrument
- Every participant must be accompanied by at least one musical instrument.
- Singing a cappella or only with pre-recorded tracks is not allowed.
- If you do not know how to play a musical instrument, you are welcome to participate, as long as you can find someone to accompany you on an instrument.
- Only those who play a musical instrument may choose to use a pre-recorded music track as accompaniment in addition to their own instrument.
- No matter what level you are at with your instrument, you can learn and improve every day.

Recomendaciones al interpretar con un Instrumento Musical
1. Todo participante debe ser acompañado por al menos un instrumento musical.
2. No se permite cantar a capella o únicamente con pistas pregrabadas.
3. Si no sabes tocar un instrumento musical, eres bienvenido a participar, siempre y cuando consigas a alguien que te acompañe con un instrumento.
4. Solo aquellos que tocan un instrumento musical pueden optar por usar una pista musical pregrabada como acompañamiento, además de su propio instrumento.
5. No importa el nivel que tengas con tu instrumento, cada día puedes aprender y mejorar.
