Hive Music Festival Week 169 - Round 1 // One more time (Bass Cover) By @musicandreview
First of all, I would like to wish this prestigious musical community a happy new year 2026. I know it may be a little late for that, but as this is my first presentation of the year, these are my initial wishes for those who make their living here. It's been a few months since I last recorded anything. In fact, I picked up my bass today and felt quite rusty. My absence has been due to other commitments I've taken on in recent months, which have reduced my availability to post, especially when it comes to music posts, which require more time as I have to study the song and then record it as cleanly as possible.
So, what I'm sharing today is a song by one of my favorite bands and from one of my favorite albums, “Infected,” released in 2011, which quickly became one of my regulars during my long music listening sessions. “One More Time” by HammerFall is a pretty interesting song because, while it's true that it's not technically complex, it has all the elements to be a complete song, with a melody that sticks in your mind and HammerFall's quite characteristic and original Power Metal style.
Antes que nada, quiero desearle a ésta prestigiosa comunidad musical y feliz año nuevo 2026, sé que quizá es un poco tarde para eso, pero al ser ésta mi primera presentación de año éstos son mis deseos iniciales para quienes hacen vida aquí. Pasaron algunos meses desde la última vez que grabé algo, de hecho, hoy mismo fue que tomé mi bajo y efectivamente me sentí bastante oxidado. Mi ausencia se ha debido a otras ocupaciones que he adquirido en los últimos meses y que disminuyen mi disponibilidad para postear, más aún cuando se refiere a post musicales los cuales demandan más tiempo ya que debo estudiar la canción y luego grabarla de la manera más limpia posible.
Entonces, lo que hoy comparto es una canción de una de mis bandas favoritas y de uno de mis discos favoritos, “Infected”, álbum del año 2011, llegó en su momento para convertirse en uno de mis habituales y frecuentes en mis sesiones largas de escuchar música. “One more time” de HammerFall es una canción bastante interesante ya que, si bien es cierto no goza de alta complejidad técnica, tiene todos los elementos para ser una canción completa, con una melodía que se queda en tu mente y con el estilo bastante característico y original del Power Metal de HammerFall.

To record this bass cover I downloaded the song from the band's official Youtube channel, then, I used the Moises application to remove the original bass line, that way I could record a completely clean line. I applied a couple of effects to give prominence to the bass since it is obviously the central element in my performances, but I tried not to overdo it in modifying the original sound previously recorded. I hope my presentation this week is to everyone's liking, I really like to humbly share my bass covers with the community, best regards!
Para grabar éste cover de bajo descargué la canción del canal oficial de Youtube de la banda, luego, usé la aplicación Moises para eliminar la línea de bajo original, de esa forma pude grabar una línea completamente limpia. Apliqué un par de efectos para dar protagonismo al bajo ya que evidentemente es el elemento central en mis presentaciones, pero traté de no exagerar en modificar el sonido original previamente grabado. Espero que mi presentación de ésta semana sea del agrado de todos, de verdad me gusta compartir humildemente mis covers de bajo con la comunidad. ¡Un fuerte abrazo!

Se me alborotó el cabello! Nunca fui amante de este estilo en particular. O sea, por supuesto no estoy diciendo que no puede gustar. De hecho esta tiene unas muy buenas guitarras y cada una de ellas explotan divido. El sonido de la banda brutal. La verdad que en comparación a Mago de Oz prefiero esta ja ja ja... NO me odies 😂
Al igual que tu, prefiero ésta banda que Mago de Oz, así que allí estamos sincronizados jaja. Y si, la canción es bastante versátil, sobre todo en las guitarras.
