Hello #Needleworkmonday. Today I have the pleasure to share some outfits for Barbie doll, to participate in the 5th edition of Barbie. I could not fail to be here with my creation of a cute crochet knitted dress in dark blue and a light blue trim cinched at the waist, with skirt bells below the knee, and of course with high heels, but among so much mess I lost a shoe, unfortunately I did not get it. Also, with hat and jacket combined in two tones. Here are some details of the process.
Hola #Needleworkmonday. Hoy tengo el placer compartir unos atuendos para la muñeca Barbie, para participar en la 5.ª edición de Barbie. No podía dejar de estar aquí con mi creación de un lindo vestido tejido a crochet azul oscuro y un ribete en azul claro, ceñido en la cintura, con faldas a campanadas por debajo de la rodilla, y por supuesto con zapatos de tacón, pero entre tanto desorden se me perdió un zapato, lamentablemente no lo conseguí. Además con sombrero y chaqueta combinados a dos tonos. Paso a dar algunos detalles del proceso.
Step by step//Paso a paso
Materials//Materiales:
- Light and dark blue crochet thread.
- Crochet needle Nº 2.
- Barbie doll.
- Hilo crochet color azul claro y oscuro.
- Aguja crochet Nº 2.
- Una muñeca Barbie.
Process//Proceso:
Skirt.
I started with 21 chains, using high stitches, with two rounds, high stitches and increases, interspersing with two rounds until round 7, from round 8 to round 18, combining with arches of chains and fans of groups of 04 using the stitch of three high stitches closed together.
Giving the flared shape of the skirt, up to round 18 with fans of 8 high stitches separated by 1 chain. I finished with a light blue trim in half stitch and 3 chains.
Then I proceeded with the upper part by inserting the yarn, the first row with increase and double crochet, the 2nd row - row 5 with double crochet. Finishing with a round of half stitches. I adjusted, knotted and hid the yarns.
Falda.
Comencé con 21 cadenas, usando puntos altos, con dos vueltas, puntos altos y aumentos, intercalando con dos vueltas hasta la vuelta 7, desde la vuelta 8 hasta la vuelta 18, combinando con arcos de cadenas y abanicos de grupos de 04 usando el punto de tres puntos alto cerrados juntos.
Dando la forma acampanada de la falda, hasta llegar a la vuelta 18 con abanicos de 8 puntos altos separados de 1 cadena. Terminé con un ribete en color azul claro en medio punto y 3 cadenas.Luego proseguí con la parte superior insertado el hilo, la primera vuelta con aumento y punto alto, la vuelta 2-vuelta 5 con puntos altos. Terminando con una vuelta de medios puntos. Ajusté, anudé y oculté los hilos.
Jacket.
We make a base of 44 chains, v1-v5 we knit in stockinette stitch, v6-v8 we make the armhole, closing. We finish with three rows for the neck in stockinette stitch, half double crochet and double crochet. I finish with the last row with light blue in stockinette stitch. And for the armholes I make 03 rounds in half double crochet and a fourth in stockinette stitch.
Chaqueta.
Hacemos una base de 44 cadenas, v1-v5 se teje puntos altos, v6-v8 hacemos la sisa, cerrando. Terminamos con tres vueltas para el cuello en medio punto, medio punto alto y punto alto. Finalizo con la última con azul claro en medio punto. Y en las sisas hago 03 vueltas en medios puntos altos y una cuarta de punto alto.
Hat 👒
- 1-6 rounds with high stitches in a 5-chain hoop.
- 7-10 with bows of 5 chains and half stitch skipping a space.
- v11 finish with half stitches all round in light blue yarn.
Sombrero 👒
- De 1 a 6 vueltas con puntos altos en un aro de 5 cadenas.
- 7-10 con arcos de 5 cadenas y medio punto saltando un espacio.
- v11 terminamos con medios puntos toda la vuelta en hilo color azul claro.

I started this knitting on Sunday, thinking to publish it on Monday, but it took too long and I almost used a roll of yarn. Because the finish of the skirt has a lot of figures and a kind of lace. The color of the yarn is blue, I chose it because it resembles a dress 👗 of my daughter's that she bought for her graduation. I took inspiration from various 50's, 60's and 90's models.
Seeing the very cinched waist, of the flared skirt below the knees, reminded me of the movie Vaseline. Also between the 60's and 70's, at parties in my country, the ladies wore only ball gowns and splendid hairstyles. After the fashion for pants arrived, it started to decline.

Este tejido lo empecé el domingo, pensando publicar el lunes, pero se me hizo muy largo y casi gasté un rollo de hilo. Porque el acabado de la falda tiene muchas figuras y una especie de encaje. El color del hilo es azul, lo escogí porque se asemeja a un vestido 👗 de mi hija que compró para su graduación. Me inspiré de varios modelos 50, 60 y 90.
Al ver la cintura muy ceñida, de la falda acampanada por debajo de las rodillas, me hizo recordar la película vaselina. También entre los 60 y 70, en las fiestas en mi país, las damas usaban solo vestidos de gala y esplendorosos peinados. Después que llegó la moda de los pantalones, fue decayendo.
Between each lacing, yesterday putting the finishing touches to this dress, my daughter was defending her degree work, I remembered her effort and the knitting helped me not to be sad because I could not accompany her due to health problems. Until the message came that she was approved. I was so encouraged that I finally finished the knitting work I had planned. Challenge overcome.

Entre cada lazada, ayer dando los últimos toques a este vestido, mi hija estaba defendiendo su trabajo de grado, recordaba su esfuerzo y el tejido me ayudó a no estar triste porque no la pude acompañar debido a problemas de salud. Hasta que llegó el mensaje de que le fue aprobado. Me animé tanto que por fin terminé la labor de tejido que me tracé. Reto superado.
Aquí estoy haciendo el escrito para la publicación, muy feliz por alcanzar el reto y participar y al mismo tiempo por el logro de mi querida hija.
