The First Step Toward Fluency: My Scholarship Dream | LOH #257

If I imagine this scenario that one morning I got an email which says that I have won a scholarship to study. Then I would get excited and surprised by the news. At first, I might not believe it because I don't study that hard to receive one but if it truly happens my happiness would know no boundaries.

My heart is gonna race with excitement, and endless thoughts of possibilities is gonna run through my mind. This is an opportunity which I would not dare to lose because it's going to open multiple doors for me in too many ways and for me it will be like dream coming true that I have always imagined.

A scholarship is a huge opportunity it's not only gonna provide free education but also gives a method that will allow myself to invest in studies without worrying about financial limitations. It means I will have the freedom to focus only on learning and leaning forwards to become something that I always wanted to.

My personal choice is that I would like to choose a new language and specifically that's English because it's an international language. It is widely spoken all around the world. English has made it possible for me to connect with people from different countries. Even if you travel in other countries English will help you with that, you can also work internationally or even if you don't travel it will just expand your knowledge.

I feel English is an amazing method. I really want to learn how to speak English fluently because that would open many opportunities for me. Right now people can understand my English but still it's not fluent enough, I have my Bengali accent which makes me nervous and I am unable to speak confidently. Well, I can write and read in English but speaking is very hard for me, I mispronounce words and make the sentences wrong. For that reason I really need to learn it properly.

When I watch anime or movies that are from other countries, I always look for English subtitles because it helps me to understand the story and enjoy it to the fullest. Anyway, it is deeply satisfying about mastering a language. I believe communication is very important and it is a powerful skill that a person can have. I feel just like now, how I express myself on Hive with English same in that way people will get to understand me more.

A scholarship dedicated to English language learning would give me the resources and guidance to improve. First I will work on my accent then I will learn the correct grammar, and most importantly to make a strong vocabulary. I know in this manner I can learn daily conversations and improve my public speaking, also it will come useful in my career. Maybe I will move abroad and find a job there in the future.

Well, I won't waste my time if I got the scholarship because people studies really hard for it. I should be responsible once I got it, I will only focus on my learning and not scroll reels for hours without realizing about the time. Time is very important and I am going to make every bit of it useful.

I feel English is a great choice because it will give you multiple opportunities, best of luck I hope you get to study in English even if it's not with scholarship.

True, a scholarship is not required to study any other languages. A few good phone apps can teach the basics or any level quite quickly.

Yeah, I am really bad at pronunciation haha. I sound really weird with Bengali accent. Thank you this means a lot to me. 😊
