The Art That Dwells in Death. /Monomad Challenge [Eng/Esp]

Greetings, dear friends of Hive:

Cemeteries have always caught my attention. When I was a child, we used to go looking for epitaphs on graves that we found curious, or anything that sparked our childish imagination, such as fear, for example.
Today, as an adult, I still do it, although with one difference: now I go in search of those small works of art carved in stone, in the open air, which I enjoy contemplating so much and which I want to share with you today.

The place is the Colón Cemetery in Havana, a marvel because of the history it holds. There is not a day that I visit it without discovering something new.

This place is immense; exploring it in a single day is practically impossible. That's why I'm exploring it in parts, and little by little I'll share with you what I discover.

To say goodbye, I want to leave you with an epitaph that I found truly beautiful:

"Death merges the infinite journey of two souls into a single vibration. Here you were an angel, there you will have glory. Yours forever, Hernesto."

Tuyo siempre, Hernesto."

Hello my friend, to visit a Cemetery is to go through a Gallery where we will find different styles of art, different figures and beautiful words dedicated to loved ones. Thank you for the sample of works of art.

Indeed, my friend, the cemetery is full of works of art, sadly many of them now neglected but still beautiful nonetheless.

The art of sculpture is a beautiful art, unfortunately now many statues are made in a more practical way, but we do not deny the artistic element. But the statue is very extraordinary, ny

That's very true, my friend. Nowadays in my country, people are buried in very simple vaults, but 100 years ago, beautiful statues were made that were true works of art.

Hermosas fotos!
Aun no las he puesto.
Me encantan las tuyas.
