Street Miles./ Monomad Challenge [Eng/Esp]

Greetings, dear friends, how is everything?

Today, while waiting for the train to Havana, I was telling someone about my work and the type of photography I do. Curious, he asked me how many kilometers I usually walk while taking photos. It's difficult to answer that, but I estimate around 8 km, maybe more.

It all depends on my mood and what I find inspiring at that moment.

There are times when I am so tired that I can only walk a few blocks and that's it; I then try to find the story right there, without moving much further.

Other times, I'm so inspired that not even an Olympic athlete can compete with me.

Of course, coffee is essential. Without it, no story can convince me, and no inspiration is worthwhile.

Meanwhile, whatever the circumstances, I take pictures and then string them together in a text, which is almost always clumsy due to my lack of narrative skill, but sincere. In the end, the important thing is that I can express myself through images, and that's enough for me.

Saludos, queridos amigos, ¿qué tal todo?

Hoy, mientras esperaba el tren para ir a La Habana, le comentaba a alguien sobre mi trabajo y el tipo de fotografía que hago. Curioso, me preguntó cuántos kilómetros suelo caminar mientras hago fotos. Complicado responder a eso, pero calculo que alrededor de unos 8 km, quizás más.

Todo depende de mi estado de ánimo y de lo que, en ese momento, considere inspirador.

Hay ocasiones en las que el cansancio es tal que apenas recorro unas cuantas cuadras y listo; intento entonces encontrar la historia justo ahí, sin moverme mucho más.

Otras veces la inspiración es tanta que ni un atleta olímpico me hace competencia 😂.

Eso sí, el café es vital. Sin él no hay historia que me convenza ni inspiración que valga.

Mientras tanto, sean cuales sean las circunstancias, voy tomando imágenes para luego hilvanarlas en un texto, casi siempre torpe por mi falta de habilidad narrativa, pero sincero. Al final, lo importante es que puedo expresarme a través de las imágenes, y con eso me basta.
