Street chronicles/ Monomad Challenge [Eng/Esp]

Greetings, friends of Hive:

I'm not very good at writing; most of the time, it's a struggle to coordinate the ideas in my head. There are too many of them, they're very rebellious, and they make this task quite difficult for me. I know what I want to say with my photos and why I took them, but when I try to put that into words, I get lost.

That said, one thing is certain: I give it my all. Today we're going to continue with more street history, the result of my walks around the city. Let's get started.

No soy muy bueno escribiendo; la mayoría de las veces es un calvario coordinar las ideas que tengo en la cabeza. Son demasiadas, muy rebeldes, y me hacen esta tarea bastante difícil. Sé lo que quiero decir con mis fotos y por qué las hice, pero cuando intento llevar eso a palabras, me pierdo.
Eso sí, algo es seguro: pongo todo mi empeño. Hoy vamos a continuar con más historia de calle, resultado de mis caminatas por la ciudad. Vamos allá.

It's not very common to see children playing in this park, but the shadows are great. Suddenly, a boy appears and stands in the only place where the light shines. I feel a crazy urge to shout at him, "Don't move!" but in the end I don't.

En este parque no es muy común ver niños jugando, pero las sombras son geniales. De pronto, aparece un chico y se para en el único lugar donde da la luz. Me entran unas ganas locas de gritarle: «¡No te muevas!», pero finalmente no lo hago.

I am very careful when photographing children, but sometimes I can't help myself. I was trying out some photos with a cat, and this little girl wouldn't take her eyes off me.

Soy muy cuidadoso a la hora de retratar a los niños, pero a veces no puedo evitarlo. Resulta que estaba probando algunas fotos con un gato y esta pequeña no me quitaba los ojos de encima.

My colleague Michel says to me, "Hey, how about we go to that corner? There are some really cool shadows there, and you can do something there." The place isn't the prettiest you've ever seen, but it's a gem for street photography.

Mi colega Michel me dice: «Oye, ¿qué tal si vamos a tal esquina? Se ven unas sombras súper chéveres y puedes hacer algo ahí». El lugar no es el más bonito que hayas visto, pero es una joyita para la fotografía callejera.

Sometimes I go somewhere 100 times and on the 101st time I see something that was right in front of me. This is the entrance to a hotel and now I've noticed these drawings.

A veces me pasa que voy a algún sitio 100 veces y a la 101 veo algo que estaba justo enfrente de mí. Este es el portal de un hotel y ahora me he dado cuenta de estos dibujos.

Another multi-family building, in better condition than the others, but like the others, shrouded in mystery.

Otro edificio multifamiliar, en mejores condiciones que los demás, pero igual que los demás rodeado de misterio.

And what can we say about the fountain in the Plaza de Armas, where birds come to drink at midday? It's always a must-see.
