The weekend is knocking on the door, and I'm sharpening my eye and revving my engines to get back on the street. I have several places in mind that have been recommended to me because, if there's one thing Havana has, it's that it always has surprises, and looking for them becomes a kind of addiction for someone who is into "photographic street walking."

Today I bring you some photos from this week. Just because it's Friday doesn't mean they're any less important—on the contrary—I set these aside on purpose. I took them in a neighborhood that may not be appealing at first glance, but which has an intense, real, human life. Of course, you have to be careful; it's not a place to go alone without knowing it. But with respect and caution, you can work there.

Ya el fin de semana está tocando la puerta y yo voy afinando el ojo y calentando motores para volver a la calle. Tengo varios sitios en mente que me han recomendado porque, si algo tiene La Habana, es que siempre tiene sorpresas y buscarlas, se vuelve una especie de adicción para uno que anda en esto del "callejeo fotográfico".
Hoy les traigo algunas fotos de esta semana. No por ser viernes van a ser menos —al contrario—, estas las separé a propósito. Las hice en un barrio que quizás no entra por los ojos a primera vista, pero que tiene una vida intensa, real, humana. Eso sí, hay que andar con cuidado, no es un lugar para ir solo sin conocer. Pero con respeto y precaución, se puede trabajar.
