Wilhemdale Deputy • Splinterlands Art Contest | Pixel FanArt [Eng-Esp]

Hello, friends! It's a pleasure to share with you a new pixel art piece. This time, I was inspired by a card called Wilhemdale Deputy, which I wanted to represent in a rather cute style.

¡Hola amigos! Es un gusto compartir con ustedes un nuevo pixel art, en esta oportunidad me inspiré en una carta llamada Wilhemdale Deputy y a la cual quise representar en un estilo bastante tierno.

According to the Splinterlands universe, this card refers to the agents of Wilhemdale, who are part of the municipal police force. These agents are highly disciplined, have excellent judgment, and are extremely loyal to the kingdom. They are responsible for enforcing the laws in the kingdom of Lyveria, maintaining order in the capital.

These agents are educated from a very young age in a culture that values duty and self-control. Their goal is to always do the right thing. They walk the streets imparting justice, making Wilhemdale a very safe city thanks to their great efforts to maintain order and peace.

Según el universo de splinterlands, esta carta habla sobre los agentes de Wilhemdale, quienes son parte de la policía municipal, estos agentes son muy disciplinados, tienen muy buen juicio y son altamente leales al reino. Son los encargados de hacer cumplir las leyes en el reino de Lyveria, manteniendo el orden en la capital.

Estos agentes son educados desde muy jóvenes dentro de una cultura que valora el deber y el autocontrol. Con el objetivo de siempre hacer lo correcto. Van por las callen impartiendo justicia, haciendo de Wilhemdale una ciudad muy segura, gracias a su gran esfuerzo por mantener el orden y la paz.

Creative Process 🎨 Proceso Creativo

With this story in mind, I decided to create this pixelated agent. To do so, I used a 103x103 pixel canvas, a size that gave me enough space to work on all the details I wanted to add to this character, without straying from the simple style of pixel art.

I began the creative process by designing a black and white sketch, in pixels of course. In it, I depicted this agent in chibi style, that is, with a large head and small body, which gives her a rather adorable look. Guided by the original character, I dressed her in a sheriff's outfit, with a large hat on her head, jeans, a vest over her shirt, boots, and a small bow around her neck. And I added a charming smile to her expression, conveying a sense of kindness and sweetness, despite her rather serious role.

Teniendo esta historia en mente fué que decidí crear a esta agente al estilo pixelado, para ello utilicé un lienzo de 103x103 pixeles, un tamaño que me permitió un espacio suficiente para trabajar todos los detalles que quería agregarle a este personaje. Sin dejar de un lado el estilo simple del pixel art.

Comencé el proceso creativo diseñando un boceto en blanco y negro, en pixeles por supuesto. En el representé a esta agente al estilo chibi, o sea con una cabeza grande y su cuerpo pequeño, lo cual le da un estilo bastante adorable. Guiandome del personaje original la vesti con un atuendo de sheriff, llevando un gran sombrero sobre su cabeza, pantalones vaqueros, un chaleco sobre su camisa, botas y un pequeño lacito en su cuello. Y en su expresión le añadí una encantadora sonrisa, transmitiendo una sensación de amabilidad y dulzura, a pesar de ejercer un rol bastante serio.

With the sketch finished, I moved on to coloring, using the original character's color palette as a reference. I started by coloring the face, applying a base first.

Con el boceto ya terminado pasé al coloreado, tomé de referencia la paleta de colores del personaje original. Comencé dándole color al rostro, aplicando primero que nada una base.

On this basis, I began to add shadows to give depth, as well as some light that allowed me to highlight certain areas of her face.

Sobre esta base comencé a añadir las sombras, para dar profundidad, tambien algo de luz que me permitió resaltar algunas áreas de su rostro.

I continued coloring her eyes, which I highlighted with a very pretty honey color. I also defined her smile and added a soft pink color to her lips.

Seguí con el coloreado de sus ojos, los cuales resalté con un color miel muy bonito, también defini su sonrisa y a sus labios le agregué un color rosado suave.

I corrected some details of the shading on her face and continued coloring her hair. I painted her loose, tousled hair brown and added very soft shadows, which I contrasted with the highlights, which I made quite strong to give her hair shine.

Corregí algunos detalles del sombreado en su cara y proseguir con el coloreado del cabello, ese cabello suelto y alborotado lo pinté de marron, le agregué sombras muy suaves, que en comparación a las luces que si las hice bastante fuertes para darle brillo al cabello.

Then I painted the hat. I tried to paint a star on the front of it, but it ended up looking more like an asterisk. Oh well, that's pixel art for you! 🙄😂

And with that, I finished coloring the entire upper part of the character.

Luego pinté el sombrero, traté de pintarle la estrella en la parte frontal de este, pero más bien me salió como una especie de asterisco. ¡Ni modo, así es el pixel art! 🙄😂

Y con esto completé el coloreado de toda la parte superior del personaje.

I continued coloring the lower part of the character, so I worked on his clothes, painting his shirt white and over it his brown vest, his blue jeans, and black boots. And the blue bow tie around his neck, giving him an elegant touch.

Prosegui con el coloreado de la parte inferior del personaje, así que trabajé en su ropa, pinté su camisa de blanco y sobre esta su chaleco de color marrón, sus jeans azules y las botas negras. Y el lazo azul en su cuello, dándole un toque elegante.

Once I finished the entire structure of the character, I added details and there was something about the hair that didn't quite convince me, so I decided to reduce the volume of the hair so that it wouldn't look so heavy. And with that, our charming law enforcement officer was ready.

Then I thought it would be fair to add the weapon that the original character carries in her hand. I knew it was going to be a bit complicated, as I've always found these objects difficult to make, but I gave it a try and placed it to one side so that it looked like she was carrying it in her hand. Although I liked how it turned out, I'll also leave you with an image without the weapon, making this officer look more peaceful.

And to finish, I added a simple background in shades of green, without as many details as usual, so that the character gets all the attention. 😝

Una vez que terminé toda la estructura del personaje, lo detallé bien y había algo en cabello que no me terminaba de convencer, así que decidí reducirle el volumen al cabello, para que no luciera tan cargado. Y con esto ya estaba lista nuestra encantadora agente del orden.

Luego me pareció justo agregarle el arma que lleva el personaje original en la mano, sabía que iba a ser algo complicado, ya que estos objetos siempre me ha costado hacerlos, sin embargo lo intenté y se la coloqué a un lado, de modo que pareciera que la lleva en la mano y aunque me gustó como quedó también les dejaré una imagen sin el arma, haciendo lucir a esta agente más pacífica.

Y para terminar añadí un fondo sencillo en tonos verdes, sin tantos detalles como siempre, para que el personaje se lleve toda la atención. 😝
