Hello, everyone! It's a pleasure to greet you again, this time to present my entry for this week's Splinterlands art contest. This time I was inspired by and took reference from a very special character, represented by a card called Janni Rebel.
¡Hola a todos! Es un gusto saludarlos nuevamente, esta vez para presentarles mi participación para esta semana de arte de splinterlands. Esta vez me he inspirado y he tomado de referencia a un personaje muy especial, representado por una carta llamada Janni Rebel
According to the Splinterlands universe, these beings native to the plane of life are called the Jann of Praetoria. They greatly value balance, seeking to live in harmony with nature and the world around them.
When the empire of chaos arrived, it brought destruction and disorder, shattering that balance and harmony and forcing the Jann of Praetoria to abandon their homes, located on the cold coasts and plains of the northwest. To defend their world, they joined forces with the crack watchers to fight against the empire of chaos, break its will, in order to restore order to Praetoria.
Según el universo de splinterlands, estos seres nativos del plano de la vida, son llamados Los Jann de Praetoria, ellos valoran mucho el equilibrio, buscando vivir en armonía con la naturaleza y el mundo que los rodea.

To create my version of Janni Rebel, I used a small 103x103 pixel canvas, sticking to the pixel art style, which is the style I like working with the most. Lately, I've been creating a lot of chibi-style characters, so this time was no exception, and I also wanted her to have that touch, so I chose to create this character in that style.
I gave my character a full body and, as always, exaggerated some of her physical features a little, especially the size of her body and head, since a small body and large head are characteristic of this art style, which gives her a cute look. I also like to play with those proportions because it gives the character a lot of personality.
I started with a simple sketch, made with black pixels, in which I depicted an adorable girl with a genie's body, big eyes, long hair, and a crown on her head.
Para crear mi version de Janni Rebel he usado un lienzo pequeño de 103x103 pixeles, manteniendome firme al estilo de pixel art, que es el estilo que más me gusta trabajar, últimamente he estado creando muchos personajes al estilo chibi, así qué esta vez no fué la excepción y también quise que ella tuviera ese toque, así que opté por crear a este personaje en ese estilo.
Le di a mi personaje un cuerpo completo y exagerando un poco como siempre algunos de sus rasgos fisicos, especialmente en el tamaño de su cuerpo y su cabeza, ya que el cuerpo pequeño y la cabeza grande es una característica propia de este estilo de arte, lo que le da un aspecto tierno, además me gusta jugar con esas proporciones, porque le da mucha personalidad al personaje.
Parti de un boceto simple, hecho con pixeles de color negro, en él plasmé a una adorable chica con cuerpo de genio, ojos grandes, cabello largo y una corona en su cabeza.
After completing the sketch, I began the coloring process, first coloring the skin, starting with the application of the base color on the face, moving down to the torso and then to the upper limbs, and then beginning to apply the shadows and highlights that define his proportions, thus making the shape of his body much more noticeable.
Después de tener el boceto listo, inicié el proceso de coloreado, coloreando primero que nada la parte compuesta de piel, iniciando con la aplicación de la base de color en el rostro, bajando a su torso y luego a sus extremidades superiores, para posteriormente comenzar con la aplicación de las sombras y luces que definan sus proporciones y así se notara mucho mejor la forma de su cuerpo.
Once this was done, I focused on the elements that make up her face, defining the shape of her mouth, painting simple pink lips, and then giving her eyes a beautiful purple color, as it is important for the eyes to stand out, because in the chibi style they tend to be large and expressive.
I moved on to coloring the top she is wearing on her chest and then her hair. For this, I used different shades of green and a dark blue tone on the top, which contrasts quite well with the green tones.
Hecho esto me enfoque en los elementos que conforman su rostro, defini la forma de su boca, pintando unos labios simples y rosados, para posteriormente darle un hermoso color morado a sus ojos, ya que es importante que los ojos destaquen, porque en el estilo chibi estos suelen ser grandes y expresivos.
Pasé a colorear el top que lleva puesto en su pecho y de ahí a su cabello, para este usé un color verde en diferentes tonos y la parte superior de este en un tono azul oscuro que contrasta bastante bien con los tonos verdes.
I painted the crown yellow, with very bright and striking lights, also yellow, to make it look like it was made of gold.
La corona la pinté de amarillo, con luces muy claras y llamativas, igualmente en color amarillo, para que pareciera hecha de oro.
All that remained was the lower part of the body, that half that I don't know how to define, but that looks like the lower part of one of those genies that come out of magic bottles, you know? Well, I painted that part in light and dark shades of green.
Ya solo restaba esa parte inferior del cuerpo, esa mitad que no sé cómo definir, pero que parece como la parte inferior de un genio de esos que salen de las botellas magicas, ya saben, bueno, esa parte la pinté en tonos verdes, claros y oscuros.
And for the background, I gave it a simple background, not too loaded with details, just with a few boxes here and there, just to give it a little atmosphere, since I don't like to overload it if it's not necessary, so as not to overshadow the character and take away from the spotlight.
Y para el fondo, le di un fondo simple, no tan cargado de detalles, solo con alguno que otro recuadro, solo para dar un poco de ambiente, ya que no me gusta mucho sobrecargarlo si no es necesario, para no opacar al personaje y quitarle protagonismo.
