Rebirth.....Loh 265.

Getting a second chance at life literally, is something I have seen only in movies but figuratively, some people are very lucky and they do get second chances at some things in life.

If that window was thrown to me, wow, I would choose to be born in a different country from my country of birth. My country of birth is great in many ways but there are certain limitations that it has, which makes it somewhat unbearable to live in.

I have learnt about human rights and Al its benefits but I doubt that my country has learnt about the value of upholding human rights as a decree that sustains human dignity.

Yeah, we operate a democratic system of government, but during electoral periods,most votes don't count.

The people's voice is not listened to nor is the cry of the masses heard by our government. They make policies that favour no one except themselves and the majority of its citizens from the grassroots are fed up.

Prior to democratic system of government, my country operated a military government system. Then, the laws were strict but there was minimal corruption and things moved fine. I don't know if changing governments led to a degradation of values but things have only taken a turn for the worse from the time democracy walked in through the door.

Another factor that makes me wish to have been born in a foreign country other than my current country is the extreme violence that is going on in some parts of my country. The societal unrest is on a high side that practically living is simply by Grace.

While I understand that there is no perfect place anywhere, I am also aware of so many countries with minimal violence, uprising, terrorism and sabotage.

Where I currently reside now, there is so much criminal activity that citizens are afraid to walk freely at certain times. Imagine owning your own home yet not being able to enjoy its surroundings because of high insecurity levels.

If I have the opportunity of a second chance, then I would go back to when I was in my mum's womb and send her a premonition in a dream for her to travel abroad to give birth to me. I'm sure she would have taken heed of the meaning and fled 😁.
