Hello, everyone! Today I want to introduce a brand new initiative, in which I intend to invite several users of the Hive ecosystem to participate by contributing their experiences and ideas.

For those who don't know me yet, I am a web developer with experience in Frontend and Backend. Throughout my time at Hive, I have developed various projects, including two related to NFT markets: Hive NFTs and Rising Star Utils.

I have also worked on a tool called “Hive Reward Delegation” designed to reward HP delegators with Hive Engine tokens, as well as creating several Discord bots.

While I don't consider myself an expert, I am quite familiar with the Hive blockchain and its entire ecosystem after developing several projects.

My Proposal

$1

For quite some time now, I have been interested in developing a new tool for Hive that would be quite useful for users. However, I haven't come up with any innovative ideas, as there are already many valuable tools created by other members of the community.

The goal is for community users to find ways to make the Blockchain experience much simpler and more practical. Specific suggestions can be made, such as improving certain processes, making interfaces easier to use, or even creating new features that help us in our daily lives.

Ideas can range from browser extensions, Discord bots, websites that display statistics, to other projects that serve to make life easier within the Blockchain. The only thing I will have to reject are mobile applications, as I have no experience in that type of development.

The idea is for users to comment on the post by sharing a project proposal, explaining why they think it's necessary and the benefits the tool will bring to the Hive ecosystem.

Rewarding the community

$1

I'll eagerly await all your comments and will also reward those I find valuable. To that end, I've established that 25% of the rewards this post receives will go to CommentRewarder, a tool that rewards comments that receive a positive vote from me.

Quite importantly, if your submission isn't selected, you'll likely receive a percentage of the post's earnings as a reward.

Closing

$1

The best idea will become a project that I will develop in the future, as long as it is feasible in terms of time, expense, and maintenance. If the chosen proposal meets these conditions, I promise to dedicate the necessary time to bring it to life.

The deadline for submitting your proposals is seven days, which is when I will receive the rewards for this post. Therefore, I will be selecting the best comments during these days.

I look forward to hearing all your ideas; see you next time!

Been tossing around some ideas since I started using Hive:

  • A simple interface that, let's say, utilizes ads (banners or even better rewarded ads, which will be difficult in a web-based app, but anyway). The ad revenue is used to buy and power up HIVE and vote for posts that users of the interface can submit. I understand that there's a bit of a mixed sentiment towards vote-selling, so this might be a thin line, but anyway
  • A kind of DEX aggregator widget to easily swap tokens, e.g. from within an IFrame. It's difficult for newbies to understand they need to go to Tribaldex, deposit HIVE, swap or buy off the orderbook. This should just take one step, and all the processes and fees should be incorporated in the widget. This could then be placed within Ecency or Peakd
  • some kind of a consolidation of Inleo Threads, Ecency Waves and all the other shirt-form posts for people to browse and interact with

I'll probably have more, these are the ones that were on top of my mind

I want an interface that shows me the "reverse" of "new". I want to see posts sorted by time to payout, kind of like ebay's "ending soonest" - for posts that are close to payout.

I want better search on hive. Its so hard to find old posts of my own, let alone old posts of other authors, if I ever want to share the content with someone later on, without having to scroll for days and days. Maybe, I should use favourites and reading lists more.

I also want an interface that can show my account's historical reward / value, linked to hive power / fiat values over a long term (think years!).

I usually schedule my posts in advance using peakd - I have always wished that I could see a calendar in my "scheduled posts" with a little red dot to suggest that I have scheduled a post for that day. It isn't really a hive problem to solve, but I have started using Obsidian with the calendar plug in for that.
