My Entry for the Shadow Hunters Community Contest 404

This is my entry photo for the Shadow Hunters Community contest 404. Thanks to @melinda010100 for hosting this great contest.

I caught this shadow on my way to a lecture venue. It was really sunny today, and I had to take shadow pictures. I spotted this shadow as I was about to leave the block, and I felt compelled to take pictures of it.

At first, it was just a shadow, the kind you’d step over without thinking. But as I walked, the line seemed to pulse, widening and narrowing like a living thing. I stopped to take pictures of the guardrail’s shadow because it made me think about its quiet importance. Countless people linger here, some even leaning against it, trusting it to hold them against the drop. The guardrail stands strong, an unsung hero that marks the edge between safety and the unknown. Its metal strength is a promise: one misstep can mean the difference between standing on solid ground or falling into space. The shadow seemed to whisper, this is where protection meets trust.
