Falentine's Special

Some days to the famed lovers day, my wife was already asking "Ife, what are we doing this Valentine now? You know it's our first one together as husband and wife"
I smiled and responded "don't worry, when the day comes we'd work something out"

Fast forward to a day to the falentine's Day, my wife who was sitting across me in the sitting room while I was at the walkway peeling Irish we'd have for breakfast the next day, goes "Ife, tomorrow is Valentine o" I just smiled and responded "I know now, sheyb everyday is Valentine with us now. I love you everyday"

She gave me bombastic side eyes, the type that says don't even play with me this young man. Aspa sharp man wey I be, I asked "oya what do you want my baby?" She smiled and said "anything o, I don't want anything that will have you spending too much sha"

I probably did a backflip twice in my head, why? Because she didn't want me to spend too much ofcos. Sheyb if I kuku spend too much na me and her go drink Garri wey no get sugar.

The day sha finally came and it was a Saturday which meant we had to do house chores and for me I had to go for Choir rehearsals. I don wake up early, start dey wash my clothes. My wife was so surprised to see me pick my boxers to wash cos na she don dey wash am since we marry, winks... Well, She has to ensure her gift is properly wrapped (if you understand this joke we are both children of the world 😂)

What now even happen again sef? Ermm, Iyam getting old oo.

Ehen! I remember!

Time to leave the house for rehearsals came, we both stepped out cos she also needed to get something from the market that day.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I came back home and this woman said I was owing her. I was like Azzz how na? Sheyb I gave more than enough to buy what you said we needed now? That's how this aunty confessed that she bought something that wasn't on the list for herself.

I looked at her and smiled, went closer and said "should I pay you back or buy shawarma for us later today?"

Well, the rest is history. With these few points of mine I hope I've been able to convince and not confuse you to go and Marry.
