2K Running dog event to raise food for a dog shelter
A few days ago, I had the enormous honor and pleasure of documenting an event that took place in my city's park. It was a 2 kilometer dog race organized with the aim of raising funds and food for a dog shelter that is in charge of helping and giving a home to more than 100 dogs, so this help was extremely beneficial for them
In addition to contributing a couple of kilos of dog food, my job was to photograph and document the entire event!
Portraits Before the Race
The first thing I did when I arrived was to take a portrait of everyone with their pets. I made sure that everyone had at least 1 photography; everyone loves a good photo with their canine child:
Hace unos dias tuve el enorme honor y placer de documentar un evento que se hizo en el parque de mi ciudad, fue una carrera canina de 2 kilometos que se organizó con la finalidad de recaudar fondos y alimentos para un refugio de perros que se encarga de ayudar y darle hogar a mas de 100 perros asi que esta ayuda fue extremadamente beneficiosa para ellos.
Ademas de aportar un par de kilos de alimento para perros, mi trabajo fue el de fotografiar y documentar todo el evento!
Los retratos antes de la carrera.
Lo primero que hice al llegar fue hacerle un retrato a todas las personas junto a sus mascotas, me aseguré de que todos tuvieran al menos 1 foto, todos aman una buena foto junto a su hijo canino:

I love all animals with all my heart, and you can't imagine how happy I was taking photographs of all these dogs who were too affectionate and adorable!!

The Race
To prevent the race from becoming a disaster and to maintain organization, it was divided into several groups. First, the puppies (under 1 year old) started running:

Para que la carerra no se volviera un desastre y poder mantener la organizacion, se dividió en varios grupos, primero empezaron por correr los perros cachorros ( menores de 1 año):
The winner was her and her Miniature Pinscher dog:
La ganadora fue ella y su perro pincher:
The next race was for Border Collie dogs:
La siguiente carrera fue de perros raza border collies:
The man in the following photography only walked because his dog was already old and couldn't run:
El hombre de la siguiente foto solo caminó porque su perrito ya era anciano y no podia correr:
And to finish, they held a race with all the dogs, but they started at different time intervals. I photographed them all!
Y para finalizar hicieron una carrera con todos los perros pero salieron en diferentes intervalos de tiempo, yo los fui fotografiando a todos!
It was incredible to see a man over 60 years old running with his dog!
Fue increible ver a un señor de mas de 60 años corriendo junto a su perrito!
And the lady in the following photography was also walking with her elderly dog; you could say they were both the same age!
Y la señora de la siguiente foto tambien estaba caminando junto a su perrita anciana, podria decirse que ambas tenian la misma edad!

At the end of the race, the participants were awarded their respective medals:

The Result of It All!
Every person who participated in this event gave their contribution to the animal shelter, and I am proud to say that the goal was met and even exceeded. Of the 100 kilos of food that were expected to be collected, a total of 350 kilos of food were collected. The satisfaction of everyone was incredible. Thanks to all these people, more than 100 dogs will have food for approximately 1 month!!
El resultado de todo esto!
Cada una de las personas que participó en este evento dió su aporte para el refugio de animales y me enorgucelle decir que se cumplió el objetivo y se logro aun mas, de los 100 kilos de alimento que se esperaba recoger, se terminaron recolectando 350 kilos de comida, la satisfaccion de todos fue increible, gracias a todas estas personas, mas de 100 perritos tendran comida para aproximadamente 1 mes!!

It's cute to see children who joined the race with their fur baby. It's awesome to see senior citizen who participated the race too. It's great to see people united for a good cause. Congratulations for the successful event 💖
