Hola, comunidad, a veces pasan días sin encontrarme con una sombra que valga la pena. Pero también hay días afortunados como este en el cual, a partir de una visita casual a una amiga, me he encontrado con la maravillosa sombra que encabeza este post.



Hello community, sometimes days go by without me encountering a worthwhile shadow. But there are also lucky days like this one in which, from a chance visit to a friend, I have met the wonderful shadow that heads this post.



En la zona en que vivo el agua nos llega solo tres días a la semans, así que lo común - para las damas que no trabajan en la calle lo usual es lavar el primer día que llega el agua. Es el caso de mi amiga.



In the area where I live, the water only reaches us three days a week, so the usual thing - for the ladies who do not work on the street, the usual thing is to wash the first day the water arrives. This is the case of my friend.



Cómo tiene tres hijos y un esposo, los pantalones jeans ocupan un lugar preponderante en la ropa a la hora de lavar. El patio trasero estaba lleno de ropa tendida al sol en las cuerdas dispuestas para ello. El patio delantero también estaba full ropa ¡Y todavía quedaban pantalones por extender! Así que recurrió a la cerca delantera y los colgó en ganchos hacia la calle.



Since she has three children and a husband, jeans occupy a prominent place in the laundry when it comes time to wash. The backyard was full of clothes hanging in the sun on the lines arranged for it. The front yard was also full of clothes. And there were still pants left to spread! So he turned to the front fence and hung them on hooks facing the street.



Mi amiga tiene una especie de cortina plástica verdosa para impedir el impacto directo del sol en la pared delantera de su casa y disminuir así el calor en la sala. Cortina cuyos pliegues naturales me brindaron un efecto claroscuro especial para esa sombra, en contraste con el color pardo claro que el suelo de tierra no encementado ofrecía como marco a las sombras del piso.



My friend has a kind of greenish plastic curtain to prevent the direct impact of the sun on the front wall of her house and thus reduce the heat in the room. Curtain whose natural folds gave me a special chiaroscuro effect for that shadow, in contrast to the light brown color that the uncemented dirt floor offered as a frame for the shadows on the floor.




My native language is Spanish, so I wrote this story in Spanish first and then translated it into English with Google's Free Translator.
