It Is My Entry To Shadow Hunters Community SMASh Contest- Round 405

Footsteps echo on the street, but it is a soft, muffled sound. When the street is lonely it feels more, but when the traffic is intense then it is just the movement and pressure of the feet on the asphalt and the noise drowns out the sound of the footsteps. However, even if they are not heard, they can resonate very strongly within, depending on how important is the place to which they bring us closer or the place from which they distance us, the person to whom they bring us closer or the person from whom they distance us.The other passers-by hardly notice our steps, our feet, and they do not notice at all the shadow we leave. The other passersby do not know where our steps are going, what or who they are taking us away from, or what or who they are bringing us closer to. They don't care either.

As we are silent and looking at the ground, we notice shadows that we would not otherwise see. These seem like a mass of iron, but we know that is not the case, they are the transformers of the public lighting, the cables, the pole... we cannot help but wonder, when we get home, will there be electricity or will we have to deal with another blackout. This would be very problematic, after a hard day of work, we are already hungry and remember that there is no gas at home, we depend on the electric stove. If when we arrive we find that there is no light...we will have to tie a pillow on our belly and go to sleep with an empty stomach because we have nowhere to cook. Lately, even the simplest things are achieved with a certain amount of sacrifice, difficulty, and it is difficult to achieve those points of enthusiasm that are what pull us forward, those that encourage us to continue moving forward...or believing that we do.

The motorized vehicle passes quickly and quickly next to the plastic basket placed by the peddler to
Mark your workplace, so that any other salesperson who approaches knows that that space is already occupied. He marked his place with the basket while he went to the warehouse where they keep his merchandise. It is difficult for him to support the family with sales. He must pay the lady who keeps his merchandise for him at night, and the taxes from the mayor's office, from time to time a uniformed man appears there who takes "purchased" merchandise but never pays him, and once a month he gives his bowling round to whom he must pay protection, since otherwise the merchandise would have been stolen or he would have been removed from his position. That's why no matter how much he sells, he has so many payments to make that the income he brings home to be able to eat food is negligible. The situation is strong and he has no other option. Well... yes there is... but don't be afraid... about going to another country with another culture, perhaps another language, always other customs. He will hate those who leave, but he has already heard so many negative stories that he remains in that, in admiration. He admires them...but he does not imitate them.

He will be able to sleep a few hours - not enough, but at least something - and then resume the same routine from Monday to Saturday in the morning. I would like to have a job that was only from Monday to Friday But this is what it is. At least he has a job and a meager salary but at least he has it. The bus is coming and you will take advantage of sleeping a little on it and you will stop focusing on the shadows on the street and you will stop reflecting on the shadows that are in his life,
The motorized vehicle stops and its shadow and that of the motorcycle mix and intertwine with the shadows of the pole and the cables and a strange tangle is formed there. Yes, in reality, what the shadows represent, they practically symbolize all of life. Sometimes our things mix and intertwine with other things, foreign things, distant things, and everything gets complicated. Sometimes you would like to simplify things and other times it seems like everything is so simple and light. Like now, a simple call to the neighbor and the information that the electricity was already cut off for four hours in the morning brings her the relief that at least she will be able to use the electric stove and cook and eat something before going to bed. Remember that it only has a little flour and a ripe banana. Well... you will parboil the banana, you will accompany it with an arepa and the sweet water from the cooking of the banana will be the "fruit juice" that will accompany his frugal dinner.
