Forest Folk Worldbuilding Contest – Prompt 3: The Forest Folk Market My Entry

This is the forest village market of the forest folks how I reimagined the people from my previous work

Hello friends and creative family of Draw A Day. Good day to all.
The world building contest of our MOD @cabalen is back and I am happy to participate despite my busy schedule lately. This has been one of my favorite theme the forest folks theme that is. I can be free to create the world that I want.

Here are some photos to tell you how I made my entry unfortunately I was not able to capture as it progressed but let me just walk you through.

This is a reimagined forest folk from my earlier works. I want them to wear some warm cozy clothing and some hats. This guy started it. I first focused on how I want him to look. Nice hat and a long cape that is it. This time I just grabbed a red ink pen with no intention to color but I thought a few splashes of colored pens would not hurt.

When the character is done I still have not decided what kind of market I will be creating. So, I just doodled until this what looks like a display came about. The one to the left holding the lemons that is my starting point and did not know then if these are lemons or dragon fruit. I added a small counter to place the cups and excess merchandise and that complete the look. So I decided they will sell lemons and lemonades that explains why I have a lemonade stand nearby.

The lemonade stand is not enough to make this look like a farmers market so I added another table selling some fresh produce but there should be some customers so I added the taller one and is still looking plain and thus the little boy came about. Looks like they are having a fun interaction all three of them.

I thought I was done but there is something missing, I added a small stool in front then the big umbrella but it does not seem to add up still. So this one final detail was added...the woman with a cart. She could be a peddler or another customer who bought some goods using her cart or could be someone making a delivery. I guess this completes the look of a forest folk market. Hope you like my entry.
