What a tremendous question: if I could redesign the world...

​I have been left spinning between ideas, images and words. How could I, a mere mortal, redesign something so immense? Perhaps with more love, more tolerance, less misunderstanding and hatred; less resentment and more forgiveness. More laughter and less crying.

​I would like a world like the one I dreamed of as a child, full of nonsense and magic; a world of elves and fairies. A world where there were no impossible things for good-hearted people—and those people were the majority—where innocence and wonder were not lost.

​My world would be like dreaming with our eyes open and, above all, it would be a world where there was no rejection of what makes us different and unique.

​And along that path I am going to continue towards the second question: What simple joy do you think the world needs more of?

​From my point of view, the world needs more of those small joys that are hidden in a hug, in a sunrise, in that little ray of sunshine that awakens the wild flowers. The joy of walking barefoot through the grass and jumping over ponds; to feel the smell of dew on the plants in the morning or, simply, stop time to enjoy with the people we love. Say "I love you" without fear and embrace life like someone who embraces their last breath.

Or something as simple as gently drinking the first coffee of the day while we say the first love phrase to each other. I leave you my warmest hug and the wish that today is your most beautiful day.

​Me he quedado dando vueltas entre ideas, imágenes y palabras. ¿Cómo podría yo, simple mortal, rediseñar algo tan inmenso? Acaso con más amor, más tolerancia, menos incomprensión y odios; menos rencor y más perdón. Más risas y menos llantos.

​Me gustaría un mundo como ese que soñaba de niña, lleno de disparates y magia; un mundo de duendes y hadas. Un mundo donde no existieran imposibles para las personas de buen corazón —y que esas personas fueran la mayoría—, donde no se perdiera la inocencia ni el asombro.

​Mi mundo sería como soñar con los ojos abiertos y, sobre todo, sería un mundo donde no existiera el rechazo hacia eso que nos hace diferentes y únicos.

​Y por ese camino voy a seguir hacia la segunda interrogante: ¿De qué simple alegría crees que el mundo necesita más?

​Desde mi mirar, el mundo necesita más de esas pequeñas alegrías que se esconden en un abrazo, en un amanecer, en ese rayito de sol que despierta a las flores silvestres. La alegría de caminar descalzos entre la hierba y saltar sobre las charcas; de sentir el olor del rocío en las plantas por las mañanas o, sencillamente, detener el tiempo para disfrutar con las personas que amamos. Decir «te amo» sin temores y abrazar la vida como quien abraza el último aliento.

​O algo tan simple como beber suavemente el primer café del día mientras nos dedicamos la primera frase de amor. Yo te dejo mi más cálido abrazo y el deseo de que el hoy sea tu día más hermoso.
