Ladies of Hive Community Contest #264 / The one I was, the one I am (ENG - ESP)

Greetings, I hope to arrive in time for this call to which this Ladies of Hive community invites us.

There is a moment, when we are little and they ask us: what do you want to be when you grow up?
I never knew how to answer that question well, my dreamy head at times wanted to be an ada, a cosmonaut, a pirate or an elf. Sometimes I just dreamed of huge wings.

"Too many books and movies," they told me. When I finally had to decide on something, I tried to follow in the footsteps of my father, who was a prosthetist, but he himself told me that that was not for me. His response hurt me but time showed that he knew me better than I did. It really wasn't for me.

I can say that I studied several things, I tried more than one course, until I discovered that Library Science existed and then my life began to take a direction that I loved.

Literature was always a passion and refuge, so much so that I never imagined I could see it as a profession.

Today, not only do I enjoy it as a reader, today I already have several books published and I continue to dream of others.

But today, thinking and reflecting on the subject, I see myself and embrace myself because I have also been able to create a home. I have three children and with them life is always full of adventures.

With them I have been able to become an ada, an elf, I have traveled to the moon and I have even discovered new universes, with them my dreams not only became verses, they also became laughter, tears, hugs and goodbyes. They just filled with life.

Today, that little girl with a head full of clouds looks at me from the mirror and hugs me because together we have taken step by step, almost without realizing it, the path we love.

Thanks to @jane1289 because after reading and rereading her proposal it made me come back to myself and I liked what I discovered.

Saludos, espero llegar a tiempo a este llamado al que nos invita esta comunidad de Ladies of Hive.

Hay un momento, cuando somos pequeños y nos preguntan: ¿qué quieres ser cuando seas grande?
Nunca supe responder bien esa pregunta, mi cabeza soñadora por momentos quería ser ada, cosmonauta, pirata o duende. A veces solo soñaba con unas alas inmensas.

"Demasiados libros y películas", me decían. Cuando finalmente debía decidirme por algo intenté seguir los pasos de mi papá que era protesista pero él mismo me dijo que eso no era para mí. Me dolió su respuesta pero el tiempo demostró que él me conocía mejor que yo. Realmente no era para mí.

Puedo decir que estudié varias cosas, intenté más de un curso, hasta que descubrí que existía la Bibliotecología y entonces mi vida comenzó a tomar un rumbo que amaba.

La literatura fue siempre una pasión y refugio, tanto, que jamás imaginé que podía verla como profesión.

Hoy, no solo la disfruto como lectora, hoy ya tengo varios libros publicados y sigo soñando otros.

Pero hoy, pensando y reflexionando sobre el tema me veo y me abrazo porque también he sido capaz de crear un hogar. Tengo tres hijos y con ellos la vida siempre está llena de aventuras.

Con ellos he podido convertirme en ada, en duende, he viajado a la luna y hasta he descubierto nuevos universos, con ellos mis sueños no solo se convirtieron en versos, también se tornaron risas, llantos, abrazos y despedidas. Simplemente se llenaron de vida.

Hoy, esa muchachita con la cabeza llena de nubes me mira desde el espejo y me abraza porque juntas hemos hecho paso a pasito, casi sin darnos cuenta, el camino que amamos.

Gracias a @jane1289 porque tras leer y releer su propuesta me hizo volver sobre mí misma y me gustó lo que descubrí.
