Greetings, dear community of shadows. What you see is not what you see.

For those of us who live in underdeveloped countries, it's not too much of a shock when the power goes out for long hours. Last night I stared at this image and wondered how often what we see is merely a reflection of something else. Reality can be distorted in different ways; we can sometimes be deceived because the truth isn't always shown to us in its true dimension. There are people who thoughtlessly let us see a personality that doesn't exist and that will eventually collapse.
Other times, we deceive ourselves, for better or worse. The first thing we come into contact with when dealing with "the other" is their image, the self-construction they want to sell us. It takes time, patience, and perseverance to assess the value of a person or any process.
In short, the image is not the thing itself, just as the reflection projected by light will never be the object in question.

Dear Community, I declare that I wrote this post without help from AI.

Dear @liannetchs , you presented wonderful shadows (not reflections) and entered the wrong contest. In our Shadow Hunters community we have two contests - the “Shadow Hunters” (SMASh) and the “Reflection Hunters”. You need the first one. Here is the link to it:
