Ladies of Hive Community Contest # 255/ A House for Happiness 🏡💜 [Eng-Esp]

Hello, ladies of the community! I'm joining @irenenavarroart's initiative to answer the question that captivated my five senses:

You've earned the money to buy a house, and you have two options. The first is a big, beautiful house, but one whose best years are behind it. It needs a lot of repairs and renovations, so its price is low. The second option is a small house. It's not as pretty as the previous one, but you don't have to invest the time or money into repairs, so its price is much higher than the previous one. What do you choose? Are you on the "repair to my liking" team or on the "buy everything ready and fast" team?

Well, although we already know it's all "fake," we'll answer truthfully. Certainly, choosing a house isn't a "cake and cake" affair. In my case, I've often considered the possibility of moving, but I've never dared to take the plunge. First of all, because I wouldn't want to lose out. I'd like to maintain the same advantages I have in my home and, on top of that, gain new ones. Secondly, because I'm terrified of the difficulties I might encounter in the new place, which might become unbearable. I've seen many people move once and then several more times.

I'm definitely on the @purrix team. I prefer a smaller house, even if it's more expensive, because it's just a matter of arriving and enjoying it. Everyone on this team has similar criteria. In my case, I've always lived in an apartment upstairs. Then, I'm not a fan of large spaces, perhaps out of habit. Small houses are very easy to clean, organize, and beautify; they don't require large investments in that regard. Plus, if it's newly built, it has more points in its favor because there's nothing like new.

A large house, on the other hand, requires a lot of care. If, moreover, it needs repairs and renovations, the money I'm supposedly saving by investing in it will have to be used for remodeling, and even then it won't be enough, since, as experts say, it's better to build a house from scratch than to start repairs. How many times have you gone to replace a pipe and ended up breaking the entire floor because removing the first one damaged the second, and so on?

Small houses have better security. Larger ones, even well-secured, can be vulnerable. I have a friend who lived in a beautiful house, the glass walls giving the impression that the interior space extended all the way to the gardens. This architecture, however, didn't allow for proper home security. One day my friend decided to hire a night watchman because she'd been robbed several times. One night when she woke up, she heard the snoring of the man who was falling asleep after everyone had gone to bed. Finally, she had to get rid of the house. Although this isn't the reality everywhere on the planet, where I live it is, and I do my calculations based on experience.

Anyway, I'm going with the small, new house. Just one more detail: I'd put it near the ocean, like @abelarte's. Who could ask for more?
