Designed a shirt

It's been a long time that I think to post something creative on hive as we ladies do a lot of creative things at home but believe me I'm so lazy to capture picture of every single step as I always in hurry to complete which i start to do.

Designed a shirt!!!!

My neighbor was working in a factory and she has so many leftover piece's of beautiful flowers and other things which we can print on fabric. She gave me some flowers and long strips of velvet, these are maroon in color and she said you should design a shirt for you.

I thought that these look beautiful on white fabric so i bought plane white fabric from market and cut it in the size of shirt.

First, i think i should prepare the bottom edge of the shirt, I draw straight lines on the edge of fabric and then draw lines on some distance.

Then I start to attach these strips on the lines which I draw. The easiest way to attach the strip is with glue stick or uhu but it's not proper way to attach it permanently so I attached it with stitching machine.

Although it's time taking to attach it with stitching machine but it's better way too.

Then I start to attach the flowers inside these lines on some distance. First i attached the middle flower and then attach the flowers on side with 2.5 cm distance.

And here the bottom edge of shirt is ready.

I do similar design for sleeve but as sleeves are smaller in width so i attached only three flowers in middle.

To prepare the neck design, first I draw a simple design with pencil and scale, it's better to draw it with pencil so that I attached it on exact position.

I start to attach the stripes on one side of neck and attached four small strips according to my design.

Then I attached the strip on other side and also cover it from sides. And attached a fabric strip in the middle for give it a neat look.

At last, I attached the both sides of shirt and also attached the sleeves with shirt and here it's ready.

I don't know when I'll wear it, i don't like to wear white dress so maybe I'll give it to someone as a gift but believe me it took almost a week to complete it.
