Splinterlands Art Contest || Blackmoor Wild Elf

It's week 346 of the Splinterlands art contest and this is my submission. I haven't done any fanart digitally for some reasons and also lack of time but I'll try to enter every week because it motivates me to paint. This week, I chose a common card in the earth unit, a very beautiful card with cool colours, The Blackmoor Wild Elf.

The wild elves of Blackmoor Basin like to keep to themselves. They’d rather spend time with magical creatures and animals than with the more "civilized" splinters.

Sounds fun to be honest, I'd also love to spend time magical creatures, I'm sure there will be lots of wonderful stories and cool magic to see

I actually started this painting yesterday but couldn't finish because of electricity problems but i was able to do the rest this morning. I started with a simple sketch of her face and her thick braids floating with some magic surrounding them. I then went ahead and chose the colours needed for everything and painted them starting with the base for her skin and hair, I added facial features and went on to add shadows and highlights where necessary. For her hair, I added details and strands to give it a semi realistic look, I'm really satisfied with the final outcome of this one...
