Recycle and decorate with candle holders for your spaces (ENG/ESP)
Hello dear DIYHubers, craft lovers of this beloved community, happy weekend to all, I hope you are healthy and very happy.
I feel super excited, with the new contest for the month of June with the theme of DIY Recycling, so I did not wait long to participate, making my first entry to the contest with the development of a candle holder with recycled materials.
Whenever we talk about recycling, we talk about transforming, beautifying and loving homemade crafts, to contribute to new decorative alternatives, contributing to the conservation of the new clean environment.

Hola queridos DIYHubers, amantes de las manualidades de esta querida comunidad, feliz fin de semana para todos, espero se encuentren saludables y muy felices.
Me siento super animada, con el nuevo concurso del mes de junio con la temática de Reciclaje DIY, Así que no espere mucho para participar, haciendo mi primera entrada al concurso con la elaboración de un portavelas con materiales reciclados.
Siempre que hablamos de reciclar, hablamos de trasformar, embellecer y amar las manualidades hechas en casa, para contribuir a nuevas alternativas decorativas, contribuyendo con la conservación del nuevo ambiente limpio.

Whenever I do any work, I like to start with what seems more complex, so when I thought of making this nice candle holder with metal can and holes drilled with the scissors, I thought it would be something risky, so I dared to start with this step.
With all the calm I grabbed the can with my left hand, and with my right hand I grabbed the scissors pointing the can with the sharpest tip to open the holes, I positioned the tip of the scissors where each hole would be and with a little force and firmness I made pressure in circles until I managed to drill each of the holes luckily everything came out easier and simpler than I imagined, Once I finished with the holes in the can, I took the silicone gun and applied 1 dot of hot silicone, to make the decoration of the lower and upper edges of the can with the chain.
The next thing was to glue the CD on the cardboard, trim the excess edges of the cardboard, then with the use of a little more hot silicone, glue the candle holder can on the DC and cardboard base.
iempre que hago cualquier trabajo, me gusta comenzar por lo que me parece más complejo, así que cuando pensé en hacer este lindo porta velas con lata de metal y orificios perforados con la tijera, pensé que sería algo arriesgado, por lo que me atreví a comenzar con este paso.
Con toda la calma agarré la lata con mi mano izquierda, y con la mano derecha agarre la tijera apuntando la lata con la punta más aguda para abrir los orificios, en ello posicione la punta de la tijera donde sería cada orificio y con un poco de fuerza y firmeza hice presión en círculos hasta lograr perforar cada uno de los orificios por suerte todo salió más fácil y sencillo de lo que imagine, una vez termine con los orificios en la lata, tome la pistola de silicona y aplique 1 punto de silicona caliente, para hacer la decoración de los bordes inferior y superior de la lata con la cadena.
Lo siguiente fue pegar el CD, sobre el cartón, recorte las orillas sobrantes del cartón, luego con el uso de un poco más de silicona caliente, pegue la lata portavelas sobre la base de DC y cartón.

Putting the candle holder aside, I began to decorate the part that will cover the candle holder, the same is the top of a glass bottle that a neighbor gave me who makes glasses to sell with recycled bottles.
What I did was to place the star stencil on the glass base, pressing to prevent it from moving, then with the help of a toothpick with cotton and cold white paint, paint carefully.
As the stars I painted did not turn out as I expected and the paint always rolled off, I made some adjustments with the tip of the toothpick to define a neater shape of the stars, then I proceeded to apply a coat of glitter.
Apartando un poco la portavelas, comencé a decorar la parte que va a cubrir la portavelas, la misma es la parte superior de una botella de vidrio que me regalo un vecino que hace vasos para vender con botellas recicladas.
Lo que hice fue colocar la plantilla de estrella sobre la base de vidrio, presionando para evitar que se mueva, después con la ayuda de un palillo con algodón y pintura blanca al frío, pinte con cuidado.
Como las estrellas que pinte no quedaron como esperaba y siempre sé rodó la pintura, hice algunos arreglos con la punta del palillo para definir una forma más prolija de las estrellas, enseguida procedí a pasarle una capa de brillo.

In this step, the ideal is to use stained glass paint to prevent the paint from peeling off the glass, but I managed and after painting the stars I passed a layer of glitter with frost on the stars to seal the paint and prevent it from peeling off easily, at the same time I decorated the tip of the bottle with a nice glass star, I glued it with hot silicone which is my favorite glue.
En este paso, lo ideal es usar pintura vitral para evitar que se despegue la pintura del vidrio, pero me la ingenie y después de pintar las estrellas le pase una capa de brillo con escarcha, sobre las estrellas para sellar la pintura y evitar que se despegue fácil, en ese mismo momento decore la punta de la botella con una linda estrella de vidrio la misma la pegue con silicona caliente que es mi pegamento favorito.

With each of the steps almost ready, what I needed was to decorate a little more to give more shine to this candle holder, so I started to cover the edge of the DC, with the sequin ribbon, with the remaining ribbon I decorated the metal candle holder and the tip of the top of the glass.
Con cada uno de los pasos ya casi listos, lo que me faltaba, era decorar un poco más para darle más brillo a este portavelas, así que comencé a cubrir la orilla del DC, con la cinta de lentejuelas, con el restante de cinta decore la porta velas de metal y la punta de la parte superior de vidrio.
Still not convinced with the look of the white candle for its thinness, I went to look for another alternative, at that time I got among my Christmas things, a wider candle of aromatic tangerine color, which was the most suitable for this beautiful decorative idea with recycling.

Aún no convencida con el aspecto de la vela blanca por su delgadez, me fui a buscar otra alternativa, en ese momento conseguí entre mis cosas de Navidad, una vela más ancha de color mandarina aromática, que fue la más adecuada para esta preciosa idea decorativa con reciclaje.
