Good evening, my dear friends at @ladiesofhive. Here I am again with my entry for your Ladies of Hive Community Contest #265. This time, our dear friend @saffisara invites us to reflect on second chances and the age we are.
Muy buenas noches, mis queridas amigas de @ladiesofhive. Aquí estoy de nuevo ante ustedes con mi entrada para su Ladies of Hive Community Contest #265. Esta vez la querida amiga @saffisara nos invita a reflexionar sobre las segundas oportunidades y la edad que tenemos.

Okay, the initiative involves answering one or all of the questions posed to participate. In this case, the questions are:
If you could get a second chance at something, what would it be?
Do you feel older or younger for your age?
Bien, la iniciativa consiste en responder una o todas las preguntas que se nos plantean para participar. En este caso las preguntas son:
Si pudieras tener una segunda oportunidad en algo, ¿qué sería?
¿Te sientes mayor o menor para tu edad?
If I had the chance to change anything in my life, it would be the career I chose. I specialised as a forensic pathologist, but I would have liked to pursue a longer degree, with more extensive training, like that of a forensic physician.
That's a better-paying and more in-demand career. I also would have chosen to stay in Margarita and not move to San Juan. I've lived there my whole life, and although where I am now is beautiful, I wouldn't trade it for Margarita if I had to.
Si tuviera la oportunidad de cambiar algo en mi vida, sería la carrera que decidí estudiar. Me especialicé como patólogo forense, pero me hubiera gustado estudiar una carrera más larga, con mayor formación como lo es la de un médico forense.
Esa es una carrera mejor pagada y con más demanda. También hubiera decidido quedarme viviendo en Margarita y no venirme a vivir a San Juan. Es que toda mi vida viví allá y aunque donde estoy actualmente es un lugar hermoso, no lo cambio por margarita si me ponen a elegir.
I wouldn't have chosen to have a partner either; I'd rather be alone, as I am now, than be in bad company. The men I've been with have been so awful that they make me prefer being alone. I'm tired of being disappointed and let down.
Regarding the second question, I've always felt younger than my age. I think youth isn't about age, but about your attitude towards life and how you choose to live it. That's why I always feel young, even though I'm over 40. Every new year is an adventure to discover and experience.
Tampoco hubiera elegido tener pareja, preferiría estar sola como lo estoy ahora a estar mal acompañada. Y es que los hombres que me han tocado han sido tan pésimos que me hacen preferir estar sola. Estoy cansada de que me decepcionen y me defrauden.
En cuanto a la segunda pregunta, siempre me he sentido más joven de la edad que tengo. Pienso que la juventud no es algo que tenga que ver con la edad, sino con la actitud de ver la vida y decidir cómo vivirla. Por eso me siento siempre joven a pesar de que ya paso de los 40. Cada nuevo año es una aventura por descubrir y experimentar.
