Friendlymoose Photo Contest - NATURE IN THE CITY

Hello Everyone!

While passing through Qatar’s Hamad International Airport, I stumbled upon one of its most remarkable features: an indoor orchard. The airport itself is already massive and impressive, but what truly amazed me was how this space of greenery seemed to transport you away from the noise and fast pace of travel. Surrounded by beautiful plants, tall trees, and carefully arranged landscapes, it felt as though I had stepped into a small oasis right in the heart of the city.

It made me reflect on how important it is to incorporate nature into our modern cities. With all the steel, concrete, and glass that define urban life, it’s refreshing to see how spaces like this orchard remind us of the balance we all need. Nature doesn’t just belong to the mountains or the countryside it has a place in the city too, even in the middle of an airport.

For me, this orchard at Qatar Airport isn’t just a design feature—it’s proof that no matter how fast paced and modern our lives become, we can always make room for nature. And in doing so, we make room for peace, balance, and a reminder of the simple beauty that greenery brings into our lives.
