So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to end. We are currently on the first topic for this week, which is “STEREOTYPES”.

But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic, which was “HUMAN TRAITS”.

This topic was geared toward each member of the community telling us about human characters and how they’re formed. They’re not inbuilt, and they’re not the default setting when people are born. Characters are determined by the parents, the environment, and the peers that whom children are surrounded.

We got to see the different characteristics of people that make up a society. There is no set way in which people become good or bad. It varies from person to person, and it’s entirely possible for people to turn out differently from the environment they were raised in. It was an enlightening topic, indeed.

This author told us that in her opinion, it is not just one thing that can determine human traits. Being unique and having so many diverse backgrounds is what makes everyone different. While a child’s upbringing plays a huge role in who he becomes, discovering his true self will also play a key role in this.

For this author, she tells us that a person’s character might be up to chance. There will always be a high probability of inheriting certain traits from the parents, but the unpredictability of human behaviour will always be prominent. These are factors that will be beyond the control of the parents, and they’d play a huge role in how the child turns out.

For this author, he told us that the idea of being good or bad comes from the ethics of the individual. Everyone values something, and that could be what drives them. Our different thoughts and experiences are what end up shaping who we become in the long run.
