Anime Review ~ Chainsaw Man ~ When the price of dreams is blood.

Hope everyone is well. Today I will review another one of my favorite animes. This will be my second anime review. Today I will review this anime with great interest. What did I understand and what did I learn from it? I will share all the aspects I liked and disliked about this anime. I also liked the one I reviewed before, but I liked this one more. So I will share my favorite moments with you. What did I learn from watching this, which aspect did I like, I will share it with you in full detail today.

Story Summary

I would like to start with Denji's childhood. Denji's life was very difficult, he struggled a lot to survive since he was a child. When Denji was young, his father was aggressive. Denji killed his father for some reason, but the Yakuza made it look like suicide. After his death, his father left a lot of debt, which completely burdened Denji. The sad thing is that Denji's father was so in debt that no one in the kingdom had the ability to pay the debt, but Denji was young at that time. He fought constantly, especially with small monsters. But he couldn't fight big monsters because he was small, so he fought small monsters and got some money from them by defeating them. Not to mention one thing, at that time, the chained devil had a great fight with the Four Horsemen of Hell. But Pochita lost in that fight. So he couldn't fight the horsemen, which was his weak point. Later, he moved to the human world. Later, he met Denji and that's when their friendship blossomed. They became very good friends. Then they did the unthinkable and together they defeated a very powerful monster. But unfortunately, the money he got in return was not enough to pay off the debt. When Denji was a teenager, he dreamed with Pochita. He fantasized about various things.

Denji's debt burden was so heavy that the Yakuza assumed he would never be able to repay it. From here, they decided to betray him. Then they gave Denji a hostage devil and sent him on an expedition to defeat a demon. Denji could not fight the demon. So he was defeated and Pochita's condition was not very good either. Pochita merged with Denji, giving Denji a new life. Denji's heart turned into a chain saw. Then he got his deadly powers and could use them.

After Denji became the Chainsaw Man, he defeated all the demons. Later, Denji was assigned to a public security named Makima. The most significant person in this story is Makima. He brought Denji to Tokyo and paved all the way for him to be hired as a member of the public security. After that, Denji was assigned to the public safety division. Later, Aki was sent on a trial mission with Hayakawa which was very important. But they did not fight very well there. Later, Denji was given all the facilities such as eating good food, bathing regularly, fulfilling his dream of hanging out with Makima, etc.

Now I want to introduce you to another popular character in this story, which is "Power the Blood Fiend". He has the same power as Denji. But he spent most of his life with a cat named Mioi. A demon kidnapped the cat. Then Power came to Denji for help to free him from the cat. But here Denji set a condition. Later, he helped rescue the cat.

There was an important trick here, he handed Denji over to Bad Devil. The devil quickly learned that Denji was not human. It goes without saying that Miui was punished for bringing bad-tasting blood. Later, Denji single-handedly defeated Bat Devil. He then saved Power and Miui from Bad Devil with his own skills. One thing that was not mentioned was that Denji worked under Public Safety Division 4 so the rest of the Public Safety Division 4 came to help. Together they killed the devil.

Gun Devils attacked humans and killed almost everyone in the organization. The attackers could escape unarmed because Kobeni and Arai were on patrol at the time when they were attacked. Denji was severely knocked out but during that battle and many others were shot, including Hinomo, and many others were seriously injured, such as Aki. Aki was so injured that she almost died. The Fox Devil that Aki uses when attacking Katana Man is the one that causes Aki's lifespan to be limited. Aki continues the fight just for the sake of the sword. Himeno plays an important role here as he fully recruits his contracted demon Ghost Devil to fight Katana in order to save Anki. At that moment, Sawatari uses his Snake Devil to devour Ghost Devil very well, which is when Ghost Devil wins. Most importantly, Himeno pulls Denji's rope at the last moment to wake up Chains Man, and this event ends the anime.

My Review

Watching the anime "Chainsaw Man" broke my heart. I was immersed in a lot of pain and emotion. Denji was the main character of this story. He was a poor teenager who didn't have much hope in life. Whose only goal in life was to live a little better but that was not in his destiny. His destiny was a terrible reality. Where there was a lot of pressure on his head. The most interesting thing is that one day Denji gets acquainted with a mysterious monster dog Pochita. The dog becomes his very good close friend. Denji is on the verge of death in a battle.

That's when that monster dog named Pochita merges with his body. The interesting thing is, it turns him into a half-human half-demon dog Chainsaw Hybrid which is a very deadly monster form. Since then Denji has been involved in one deadly battle after another against his enemies. He used the money he got from there to pay off his debts. But that money was not enough to pay off the debts.

This anime is not just a story of fighting and struggle. The basic needs, desires and various needs of a boy are highlighted. Another thing I noticed is Makima's mysterious character and Power's funny yet heartwarming chemistry that will captivate you. Some have deep conflicts in their minds like Aki. I can say that this is not just entertainment for me but a deep feeling. Finally, I can say one thing that Chainsaw Man will not disappoint you. Chainsaw Man is an anime that after watching, you will not only recognize the characters, but also yourself.
