WHY DO WE HAVE LEADERS

Every nation strives on the intelligence of their leaders, The rise and fall of every nation is totally dependent on the leaders and not the people. This is why we always complain in this part of the world about the incompetence of our leaders as it is clear that they do not have us (the citizens) in mind whenever they make their decisions. Americans can be proud anywhere not because they (the citizens) did anything to be proud of, they can be proud because past leaders made the American name great and those born into that great name have a lot to be proud of. It’s the same way we feel when we watch athletes from our country represent us, if they win, we feel proud, and if they lose, we bow our heads in shame, this is what it means to be an ordinary citizen, and as I will always tell those around me if you can’t deal with it, then become a leader, go to the front lines and change the narrative

The only power we have as citizens is to elect a leader who would make the decisions that would either make or endanger us. After the election, the power rests on whosoever that we choose. Let’s even think about it, we (citizens) never brought about the system of government that we either enjoy, or endure. The power we think we have was given to us by those in power. Before now, the strong ruled over the weak and even though the weak are many they were still powerless. But for the sake of fairness, the strong decided that the weak choose which of the strong should be given ultimate power, so the strong do not fight among themselves and the weak suffers. The idea of peace made the weak (the citizens) think they are in power, but the strong still call the shorts and manipulate the weak into doing their biddings.

The only way to not be affected by the decisions of the strong is to make the decision not to be weak and stand up to them. Doing this will either make you a terrorist or a hero depending on how you choose to go about it. This is the reality of life and it is not a matter of whether it is fair or not, but a matter of how strong you are to be able to handle the pressure at the top. Whether you like it or not, there is pressure everywhere, you just need to decide the one you can handle, there is the pressure o the masses who get to suffer or enjoy from the decisions of the higher ups and there is the pressure at the top which is even worse than that at the bottom because any little slip up can cost you your life. This is life, it is neither fair nor unfair, it’s just the order of things and understanding it will make you see life in a different light and not cry when things go bad.

Elections in most countries are rigged so even the little power we are supposed have is not even ours. Leaders will always determine the growth and failure of a country which affects the citizens whether they agree to it or not
