TELEPATHY

Telepathy will be one of the many wonders of the world if science can finally achieve it. The ability to communicate telepathically would change communication totally, people will no longer be misunderstood as they will be able to communicate their feelings, and intentions without any fear of being misunderstood. A lot of relationships and marriages that would have broken because of miscommunication would be strengthened because now there will be transparency. It will become very easy to catch a dishonest person especially when you try to communicate with them and you feel the restriction in their mind. But then again, it would also cause unprecedented war, and fights to happen everywhere.

Communication would become a matter of intent and not just words. So telling someone they are beautiful when you feel otherwise would be very easy to notice. The true intentions of people would be put to the test and with how I can imagine, it would be easy to sneak into peoples head because you know that you can find whatever information you need authentically. This in a way would also make people become more conscious of what they think, intimacy would no longer just become sexual, it would become telepathic. Breaching someone’s mind would be considered an even worse crime than rape because it is an unauthorized access to a persons mind.

As much as I really love the idea of telepathy, I fear it would cause more harm than good. I can see the government and cooperation weaponizing it and criminals using it for all sorts of dubious activities. To be honest anyone with the idea of power would have the idea of abuse, and telepathy would bring the world another level of power. We might even be able to understand animals better and a lot of other amazing things but knowing humanity, I can say for a fact that lives will be lost for that to happen, so the question here is that is it worth it?
