SPLINTERLANDS SOCIAL MEDIA CHALLENGE [THE SUPERIORITY OF WATER]

(Edited)

I’ve always found the water element to be superior to others, maybe it’s because I’m starting to find an area of interest, or because I find myself using the water element more often than other elements. Although I’m also familiar with the fire and death elements, when I started splinterlands a couple of months back, I was very glued to the death element. I think that was because the person who taught me was very good with it. It somehow laid the foundation of how I play currently, but then I discovered that I lost a lot to the water elements more than I won. I think it’s a matter of skill and how you use the element. For me, my playing style suits the water elements more and when I get to use it in a ballettle I win about 70% of the time, Or should I say I feel I win about 70% of the time as I did not really calculate the statistics lol. But then again there are other elemental summoners I would prefer to the water summoner I have at my disposal as they offer more versatility to my style of play. Sometimes I would imagine what I would do with some water cards if the summoner had the ability of another elemental summoner.

The summoner named Eternal Tofu is one I admire a lot. Although I’ve beaten players with that summoner at least 7 out of 10 times, I still wish a water summoner had those abilities. I feel cards like my favourite Diemonshark will become nearly unstoppable due to its resilience. I can always put it in first position and put another strong melee attacker in second position while I fill the rest positions with magic and ranged attackers. Well I also understand that this summoner is not suited for all the rulesets and would not do well in rulesets that involve only the use of magic and ranged attackers or rule sets with little mana caps. But for rule sets that allow the use of melee attackers, Eternal Tofu would be the perfect summoner except for cards with deflection abilities. One of the battles I fought where my opponent used this summoner almost got me. I added two melee attacks who were getting injured because of the thorns, but luckily I managed to win.

BATTLE LINK

My opponent used a combination of earth and life cards which is another reason I love this summoner. If I could merge my water and earth card with it, I think that would be awesome. I know there is a summoner that has that merge, but then again, I’m just wondering how it would be if it was this summoner or a summoner like this with the same ability but for the water and earth element. When you watch the battle, you will see my opponent was really good with his card selections and Truthfully I feel I just had luck on my side LOL.. The scariest of all my opponents cards was Iziar who had a lot of health and vulture abilities that made it almost impossible to die. But for one reason or another, it was handicap in the last leg which gave me the victory because I was also on my last leg with Djinn Oshannus who had just two health left and my ranged attacker did not have a closer range ability.

So yeah, sometimes all you need is a little bit of luck in this game, and I kinda got it. I wouldn't hope for such luck to arise in another battle. That was why I decided to take note of this ruleset and learn from my opponent who really had a chance in this game. If I will do anything differently in a similar ruleset, it will be to add a monster with the vulture ability or a card with self heal ability in place of the ranged attacker I used. If I will be using a ranged attacker at all, it must have close range ability so I don;t totally fear for survival in the last leg.

Truth be told the splinterlands game is very unpredictable, but that’s just what makes it fun and if you think you will like to try out all the amazing experiences, feel free to join in here
