SPLINTERLANDS SOCIAL MEDIA CHALLENGE [BACK TO BACK LOSSES]
I really hate not having cards to battle because it makes me feel naked and vulnerable. I have not played any game this season because I didn't have the funds to rent cards. Last season I had to spend over my budget because the cards were very expensive, and due to multiple losses I had last season I went down the league table. It’s fair to say that last season was a bad season for me, but there is nothing I can do about it but move forward and try to make the best use of what I have, which is my guild. I played some guild brawls today and my lack of cards made it evident that I was no good for my guild and needed to level up. Although I have a few reward cards, It’s not enough for me to win the real games as there are no summoners to use all of them. Okay I have just one summoner from my reward card, and one delegated to me by a member of my guild.
The first brawl I fought left me brutally disadvantaged. From the selection to the battle I was highly outmatched, at least that's how I felt. I had to play with cards I don’t normally use and although it helped me figure out the best way to maximize what I have, that lesson came at a loss. The fact remains that although it’s just a game, I hate losing and for a guild brawl, losing feels like I’m letting the guild down. The second battle was similar to the first, from the options I had available, I knew I had no chance of winning except my opponents decided to forfeit. When the second battle began, I knew for sure I was going to lose seeing my opponent had high level magic cards and I was right because I had lost.
The third battle is still undecided as my opponent is yet to play, hopefully he doesn’t come and I win lol. But unfortunately I lost the fourth battle as my opponent used one of my preferred lineup strategies to beat my wanna be cards. It was another expected loss for me, but there was nothing I could do seeing I was barely hanging on to anything. The greatest effect this lack of cards has on me is that most of the cards I have available have very low life which makes me an easy target. My cards can hardly last because of how they die from one or two blows which is now costing me and my guild in this tournament. Not that I’m one to give excuses, but that is just how it is in this game of splinterlands where only the strong and wise survive.
Talking about wisdom, It helped me win the 5th battle with a bit of luck I must admit. It’s not everyday you get to find out your cards can do some amazing things you never knew. For me, I discovered a particular death card with 12 health, and used it to my advantage. Putting it in front, it was able to give the other magic cards with low health an opportunity to strike. The luck was that my opponent didn’t really have the cards enough to win because the only card doing the most damage was the first card. I was able to narrowly escape with a win and then I continued to the last game which saw me win again after discovering another card with 9 health. With the battle having a high mana cost, it was easy to put all of them together, just enough to give me the much needed win.
Truth be told the splinterlands game is very unpredictable, but that’s just what makes it fun and if you think you will like to try out all the amazing experiences, feel free to join in here
