LOOKING INTO THE FUTURE #249

We seem to be talking a lot about technology and its impact, to be honest I can’t get tired of talking about the endless opportunities it can provide only if we can open our minds to become creative. The major reason why I love how technology is evolving is because people are getting more desperate to end poverty and joblessness and thus are looking to improve their standard of living by helping others improve their own standards. To those who saw how technology started, they can attest to the fact that it wasn’t much then, and it has grown to where it is today because desperate times call for desperate measures.

Take a look at face book for example, it started as a platform to get in touch with family and friends, but today, it has grown to a marketplace for businesses that is thriving on the idea of content creation. We do not know where we will be in the next 10 to 20 years, but one thing is for sure, the things we are doing now will be nothing compared to what we (who are open minded to change) will be doing then.

If someone had said 15 years ago that we will be writing and monetizing it like this, it would be hard to even phantom. Today I am doing a course on social media management, it’s a degree course that would serve as my second degree and open me up to more opportunities in the future. The reason why I decided to take the course was because I looked at the world today, I will not always have the strength I have today in the next 20 to 30 years, I will definitely need a skill I do not have to retire from and that is why I choose this because no matter what, as long as I keep learning, my experience in this field will always be valuable.

Doing courses with legit documentation in your region is a great way to monetize knowledge. No one knows what tomorrow may bring so keep doing whatever helps.
