I was reflecting sometime ago and I realized that I would have grown really well on hive if I had taken steemit seriously at that time. I casually decided to enter my steemit account and discovered I opened that account 8 years ago but because I had no idea what I was doing I just let it slide. Fast forward to when I started out on hive, I still did not know my left from my right, but this time I matured a bit and was able to look at trends and ask for help which I got from really wonderful people who decided to help me out. I began to wonder perhaps if I had gotten that help on steemit, I would have been able to transition into hive smoothly and would have grown more rapidly on Hive.

One of the issues I faced on hive was how complex it was then, although hive has become more simplified since then, you can not dispute the fact that it is still complex for a lot of people. Those who succeed on hive are those who are patient enough to learn new things or those who are already familiar with the web 3 space. If you see how much the web 2 space is growing you will realize that it grows because it appeals to the average youth, Hive on the other hand appeals to intellectuals who are either introverted or very intelligent. I guess it’s easy to say being intelligent isn’t really fun when you are in the social media space, a lot of us here do not do well with the web 2 space because we ain’t that fun, and while that will be good for a lot of us, it is not really good when you want to put web 3 growth into consideration.

Another thing that isn’t really nice with web 3 and crypto, is how the bearish season has affected the payout in content creation to a very large extent. I am not an expert in these things, but I think it is safe to say that we are all suffering from the whole bearish season. But then again, having a place for people like us is a really good thing, we get to enjoy the freedom to share our dom thoughts without fear of criticism. Let’s be honest the web 2 space can be very toxic, unlike here where we shall certainly meet like minds who do not see our thoughts as dom or stupid. So yeah that’s a good thing.
