BUILDING NEW RELATIONSHIPS

It's a few hours to the new year and considering everything that went on this year I am prepared for more. I do not expect the next year to be easy and thus I am sure that I will be needing people in my life to help me on my path. Over the years I have come to understand the importance of having the right people in my life. This year, the people in my life were of big help to me in many ways and I must confess I am truly grateful for their work in my life. My circle is very small though, so when I talk about the people in my life they are no more than three excluding my immediate family. And although I love them so much and would still want them to be part of my life's journey, I still want to get a few that would help me develop even more than I currently am. I understand that life is in stages and for every stage I need people to help push me to the next stage, this is why I will be open to forming new relationships this year.

Today I was able to attain one of my 2025 goals which was attaining an international certification in digital marketing. There are a lot of international certifications, but I was able to acquire one in relation to google ads. However, I need people in this area of specialization to work with, and learn from, share knowledge and gain better experience if I am going to achieve more international certifications. I was really happy to be certified with Google today, but those around me could not share my joy because they do not fully understand what this means for me. I realized that one of the reasons I have not advanced as much as I want to in my field is because I have been working like a lone wolf and I would like that to change in 2026.

Like I stated earlier, this does not mean that those in my life would have to go, it simply means I want to advance in other areas of my life and would require new people to help me do so. Those around me are also taking similar steps and while it would see us grow apart, we would be able to become better versions of ourselves achieving things that we could only dream of. I feel in the long run we will come around and share stories of how we advanced. This is the price we must pay for growth as 50 children can not be in the same place for 50 years. I do not want us all to grow apart, but if it happens, I know it is just part of the process. But there is also a chance that this growth will even make some of us closer and when we look back at the end of the day, it would have been a journey totally worth it.
