Caring for a family member with dementia does wear us down in time. Oh my, 19 consecutive days! I hope that you are not carrying this responsibility all by yourself. It would simply be too much. As a former Community nurse, I had been assigned the role as Respite Care nurse because in Canada we understand that health care doesn't end with just the Dementia patient but to also extends to the primary Caregiver who needs breaks on a regular basis. Venezuela may not have sufficient public resources but you should have some family members relieve you a few hours periodically.
