Hmmm, I bought my now 60 year old home over 24 years ago and it did need some work. To save cash I did most simple fixes and upgrades after taking some local Handyman courses taught at a Home Depot retail center. Saved a lot! My young boys and I were confident enough to replace a leaking garage roof that took 3 times longer than for a Tradesman to do, still saving me $900+CAD but my back was stiff for at least two days. What was important was my son's also learned new skills doing this together.
I paid off my mortgage three years early!

Another late start for me, good Luck ladies and gentlemen,

Woah, this is amazing 👏 😍

We learn everyday and truly some lessons might come through our desire to better our life.

It's also good to know that your sons were there to support you.

Such family love.

Take care M'am 🙂

I've done some plumbing and electrical too.
When I fix something there is a feeling of accomplishment and confidence in a new skill. Replacing a worn washer of a dripping kitchen faucet isn't as hard as I thought.
