I would agree, the past remains the past yet it is the basis for how we face an unknown future. Being a practical person I would be very concerned what kind of future my children and descendants face, likely heading towards a dystopian or a freedom respecting culture. I would array my resources and efforts to a freer world and unmask those who want to enslave humanity behind a facade of contrived social laws.

I agree, these last few days have been quite revealing. The future is uncertain, but seeing the current situation is frightening, and I'd like things to be more idealistic and peaceful. Anyway, let's hope for the best.
