Stop Promoting your song like a superstar - Do this instead
Stop Promoting your song like a superstar - Do this instead(
Vibes Web3 community is a community where every artist showcases their talents by performing songs weekly. And I thank God because there are a lot of genius judges right there — people who are always ready to give kudos to those who did very well and also encourage those who are still coming up, so they can grow and improve themselves.
I also want to specially thank VibalD and LordButterfly for their commitment, their sleepless nights, and the way they pour their energy to make sure each and every one of us is encouraged. Thank you so much, sirs. I’m truly grateful.
Now, I want to talk to all of us — my fellow artists, singers, songwriters, instrumentalists, and performers in this beautiful community.
Vibes Web3 is filled with extremely talented people. Every week, we see raw talents that are mind-blowing. People perform with so much fire, passion, and skill. Some of us even win the weekly challenges, and by God’s grace, get rewarded with money and applause.
But last night, something hit me deep.
I sat down and started asking myself:
“Why is nobody outside knowing us?”
Why is it that despite all our efforts, all our beautiful music, all our content — we’re still not getting known?
Why is our social media page still dry?
Why are we still struggling to get even 200 views, or a simple repost from people outside our community?
That question has been burning in my heart, and I decided I won’t keep quiet anymore.
So please, if you're reading this — don’t stop halfway. Read it to the end. Because I’m about to share with you why your social media isn’t giving you the fame or growth you deserve, and how you can truly start promoting your music the right way.
Stop Promoting Like You’re Already Famous!
Let me just say this straight:
Most of us upcoming artists are promoting our music like we’re already celebrities — but that’s where we’re missing it.
We post our music link, drop a flyer, tag a few people, maybe run one small ad, and then sit back expecting to blow.
When nothing happens, we feel discouraged.
But the truth is, we’re not promoting wrongly — we’re just promoting at the wrong level.
There are two kinds of music promotion:
- Promotion when nobody knows you yet
- Promotion when you already have fans and followers
Many of us are stuck in number 1, but we’re acting like we’re in number 2.
Let me explain...
Imagine Davido posts his album today — boom, 1 million views. Why? Because he already has fans waiting.
But you, as an upcoming artist, you drop your music and expect that same response? My brother, it won’t work like that.
Nobody knows you yet, so nobody is even listening, not because your song is bad, but because they don’t know who you are.
So what should we do?
3 Real Stages of Promoting Your Music (From Nobody to Noticed)
- Get Attention First (Before You Drop Music Links)
The first thing you must do is get people to notice you as a person.
People follow the artist before they follow the music.
Let your content be real.
Tell your story. Show your face. Talk about your life, your struggles, your dreams.
Stop hiding behind graphics and song links.
Use skits, short videos, your phone camera — even if it’s not fine, just be consistent.
Let people see you, hear you, and connect to your person first.
Let them feel your hunger, your vibe, your hustle.
Even before they hear your full song, let them say:
“This guy get something, I like his vibe.”
- Build Connection – Turn Viewers to Fans
Now that they notice you, it’s time to make them stay.
This is where you start showing up regularly with your music, your behind-the-scenes, your creative process.
Talk to your audience like friends.
Ask them questions. Post little moments from your daily life.
Let people start saying:
“I no fit pass this guy page without watching his stuff.”
Start building a small, solid fanbase. Even if it’s just 10 people engaging, reply them. Show them love. Tag them when you drop something. Make them feel like part of your journey.
- Now Push Your Song Like a Movement
Finally — now that people know and like you — drop your music smartly.
Don’t just post the link with “Out Now”. Nobody will click.
Instead:
Post teasers before release day.
Use challenges, funny trends, or even storytelling to carry people along.
Let your fans know what inspired the song.
Get people emotionally involved.
After you drop the song, don’t go silent o! Keep pushing, posting reactions, doing freestyles, behind-the-scenes, live videos, thanking people, and keeping the vibe alive.
My Final Words to You
If you're still reading this, then I believe you're ready for growth.
This is not just about talent anymore — this is about smart work.
Stop promoting like a celeb when you're still underground.
Start by building your name, your vibe, and your story.
Let’s change the way we promote. Let’s move with wisdom, creativity, and boldness.
The truth is, we’re not far from blowing — we just need to promote right.
I believe in every one of you.
Let’s grow together, and by God's grace, we will all be known — not just inside Vibes Web3 community, but outside the whole wide world 🌎
God bless @LordButterfly, VerbalD and all our judges and supporters.
And God bless every rising star in this amazing community.
Let’s take over — one smart move at a time. 💪
